In the live version, Dany (the lead guitarist and one of the singers) is playing a mustard yellow Mason guitar - the only one in existence. It was a gift from Matt Bellamy of Muse. The Warning toured as an opener for Muse in Mexico, France, and UK. The other performers: Pau (drums, lead and backing vocals) and Ale (Bass and backing vocals).

This song is from their third album (first as a signed band) released 2022. They recorded the album in 2020 during the shutdown, which is why they hold the release until 2022. When they recorded the album they were 20 (Dany, guitar), 18 (Pau, drum), 15 (Ale, bass). 3 sisters from Monterrey, Mexico who also play piano and started when they were little kids. The live performance was from their 10th anniversary concert.

The song "Disciple" explores the dynamics of social media manipulation and the cyclical relationship between those who wield power through ignorance and those who fall victim to it. In the first verse, guitarist Dany represents the manipulative forces cultivating hate and distraction for control and profit, while the second verse shifts to drummer Pau embodying the manipulated disciple, trapped in the system and unwittingly perpetuating its narrative. The chorus intensifies this tension by portraying a direct clash between rebellion and control-Dany's call to "kill the system" symbolizes a revolutionary voice fighting against oppression, while Pau's command to "remain inside your space" represents the system's effort to enforce ignorance and compliance. The bridge blurs these perspectives, illustrating the entanglement of manipulator and disciple, where cycles of hate and despair feed into each other. Overall, the song presents a powerful critique of modern systems of control, highlighting the struggle to break free from manipulation and confront the forces that sustain it.

Disciple was the opening song in the Pepsi Center CDMX concert. The entire concert is on their KZbin page both in single song and full concert formats. There are no bad songs. It's best to watch them in order to get the full impact. The concert was to celebrate their 10th anniversary as a band. So far, they've put out four full length albums, an EP, had a Latin Grammy nomination, MTV Push Artist, and Pau (the drummer) was voted Drumeo Rock Drummer of the Year in 2023. There's quite a bit more too that others can fill in.

*a concise history* *_The Warning_* are Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra, three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico... you'll see their names and band name abbreviated as DPA or DPA/TW... each goes by a nickname taken from the first part of their names... Dany for Daniela, Pau (like POW!) for Paulina, and Ale (like Ah Leh) for Alejandra _[say Alejandra and leave off the "jandra" part]_ ... you'll also see "TWA" which is The Warning Army, their highly enthusiastic fan base 😜 DPA/TW started with music at a very young age... like 4 and 6 for Pau (drums) and Dany (guitar) when they started learning and playing classical piano... Ale (bass) was still pretty much a newborn... they all learned and played classical piano first... as a family, they used to watch concerts on TV together... music has always been a part of their lives and they are influenced by many bands from years past... then came the game, Rock Band, which Dany and Pau played all the time with Ale watching and clapping along... Pau, at age 6, gravitated to the drums and Dany, at age 8, took up the guitar... Ale was 7 or had just turned 8 when she chose the bass... a few months after Ale started playing the bass, the girls realized they had all they needed to form a band and here we are today... if you want to see where they started, the first link in this list will take you there... watch them in this order: 2014 viral start : kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5PShox4brF5gLs OMV reimagined of above w/ Alessia Cara : kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6WugpqbqKiWisU live of reimagined at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX - Aug 2022 : kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJicp4F7bMygZqs live of reimagined with 10-piece string section at Pepsi Center CDMX - Oct 2023 : kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6TXoKSsarxriK8 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

All three sisters can take turns singing lead while playing their instruments. With Disciple they are doing what they are famous for. A vocal game of tag. Eldest sister and lead singer Dany and drummer Pau take turns singing lead. Youngest sister bassist Ale with backing vocals. The Warning tell their fans “learn the song so you can sing it with us.” Their fans sing with them, in English, Spanish or French! Dany is commanding the crowd, “sing it back to me!” They are fans and have become good friends of Band-Maid. They have performed together live in Japan with a song that both bands worked together on.

Welcome to The Warning Wyllow, I’m a 73 year old The Warning fan since 2013/4 when they first started, it’s been a joy watching them grow up and grow as artists into a World class Rock band. I saw them here in the UK last year twice, first at Plymouth with Muse and again at Bush Hall London, this year three times, Birmingham 02 academy, Nottingham and London. Hopefully will see them again in 2025 at least once! It’s a good idea to watch both versions of the song, it shows how they perform live very well; it’s always high energy and great sound quality [although at this concert the were just recovering from Flu and Pau (the drummer) was still not at her best], it is very much appreciated by TWA, they ❤ good reactors, and from what I’ve seen today you fit the bill! As regards a follow up, anything from their KZbin channel is good, also the best place to get anything from - less risk of copyright claims! Their KZbin channel has everything from their history right from very young children learning to play piano plus Vlogs, Interviews and of course songs and the odd few full concerts. Looking forward very much to your next reaction 🌹

*Disciple* *Disciple* is one of their songs about social media and how it affects people in ways they don't even know... Dany (guitar) sings the part of the "leader"... Pau (drums) sings the part of a "follower", "disciple", or maybe "soldier"... basically they're speaking about how people take what they see on social media and believe it, whatever it is... in this way, certain groups out there control the narrative and what is happening... i believe this is a cynical song telling people to think for themselves and not believe everything they see or hear... the OMV for *Disciple* was shot during the pandemic, all the extras in the video are IRL The Warning Army members... the wearing of the various masks works for the video as well as acknowledging the pandemic being a thing at the time of recording the video... there is the dichotomy of the masks, themselves... the "disciples/soldiers" wearing just cloth mouth and nose masks while the higher ranked overseers are wearing full face filter masks... and then we have DPA/TW playing the upper echelon, the untouchables, with no masks at all... this ranked depiction of status makes a huge statement about social media in addition to what is already being said in the song... *XXI Century Blood* , *Z* , and *Kool-Aid Kids* are three other original DPA/TW songs that also speak about social media... the 1st one, XXICB, has an OMV that tells a story... it and the director were nominated for (and won?) several awards when it was released in 2017 when Dany was 17, Pau was 15, and Ale was 12 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

One of the most interesting - perhaps unique - things about _The Warning_ is that there just isn't all that much difference between their studio recordings and live. You certainly perceive more energy in a live show, and of course the "organics" like audience interaction, etc... but they are very precise in their musical compositions. A comment I read quite some time ago summed it up perfectly: "Most bands struggle to capture their studio sound when playing live. _The Warning_ does precisely the opposite... and often fails."

I think you did great. I like the dual reaction just the way you did it. And you started with the first song at the Pepsi concert. You should continue this way in the order they performed them. I am 65 years old and this is the best concert I have ever seen. I am nuts about these sisters. Just subscribed. Have fun!

There is only one thing better than reacting to live and that is doing both live and music video in one reaction. The music video of this song was the first professional level music video I saw from them. It was one of the things catching me as a fan back then. (And I don't do fan.) Also @<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="443">7:23</a>, bless you.
