This show was a big deal to them from what I can tell. There's an image of the band from the end of the show after having taken their bow, with Dany holding her fist up in triumph, and Pau crying on Ale's shoulder, with her back to the crowd. It's little things like that that I've come across that have elevated the band for me. Pau is always such a very professional and serious person, so to see her so emotional was very nice, and enlightening.

The Metropolitan in Ciudad de Mexico (CDMX) is a long-revered venue in the country. With a capacity over 3,000 seats, The Warning sold out two consecutive nights in their largest concert ever. Yes, these concerts were a big deal for the band and some consider them their "graduation" into the big league.

Teatro Metropolitan was two sold out shows in August of 2022. They had been out on tour opening for Halestorm but these two shows were them as headliners and they were spectacular in so many ways. The production was top notch. Sound and lighting were perfect. The venue is historic. The two shows were pro shot. There were guest performers both nights…the girls music teachers and another special guest. But, to me, the crowd response and interaction with them was what they had dreamed of since their days playing the game Rock Band. Pau, an empathetic force anyway, broke down and wept after the second night. Both nights the audience sang as they sang and both nights they played to standing ovations. These two shows are epic. They’re the stuff rock legends are built upon.

Teatro Metropolitan is an historic venue in Mexico City (CDMX). It was built in the 1940’s in the art deco style as a movie palace but was converted to a concert venue in the 1990’s. TW performed two sold out shows there last August when this BANGER was recorded.

I can't wait for more of these clips from the show to drop. It seems they are doing one about every few weeks. Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (abbreviation for Cuidad de Mexico, meaning Mexico City) is a theater with great acoustics often used for theatrical productions and concerts. It is in the heart of Mexico City, seats about 3500 people at capacity, and for Mexican performers, it is a lot like performing at Carnegie Hall would be to a US band, a sign that you have arrived. TW pulled out all the stops for these performances, having sold out the venue twice for shows a couple of days apart, which is quite an accomplishment in itself considering they have been headlining shows before larger crowds only on this latest tour. Still, these might be the largest crowds to date that they had drawn as headliners. Dany, Pau, and Ale even went outside before the show to check out the street vendors hawking knock-off (counterfeit) merchandise. I don't think the street vendors even knew who they were, which was hilariously ironic. They took it as a form of flattery, though I'm sure their management was not happy about it. They staged an elaborate light show with video on screens, and a drum riser. Each performance lasted around 2 hours with a brief intermission in the middle during which DPA changed their outfits from a black color theme to all white. They also used the performances to honor their mentors, sharing the stage with them for some of the songs. And, as you can see, the shows were professionally recorded on 8K camera equipment with the audio taken from the mixer board for enhanced clarity. The setlist included many of their fan favorites from their first two albums and showcased every song from the Evolve album, which at the time had only been released for a couple of months, though six of the songs appeared on an EP called Mayday that had been released 10 months earlier. I believe this was the first time they had performed every one of those songs together in one set and a couple of the songs had never been performed live before. The album's bonus track, a song titled "Breathe" was played over the PA during the intermission as it is the one song Pau has said she will likely never perform live as it is mainly a raw performance with just her vocals and the piano she uses at home to compose many of their songs. Pau is also credited as the producer for that song as it was not recorded as part of the sessions in New Jersey with David Bendeth. Pau added some post-production effects to the recording, but they are subtle at best.

They have so much live music out there. All of is different ages. Cdmx have no clue, guess Mexico City. They had two shows at this venue on a Monday and Wednesday and sold out both. 3000 people each show. Pau in an interview very emotionally she couldn’t believe they sold out on a Monday.

3500 fans x2. 1st show sold out in less then 4 hours so they added a 2nd which also sold out. Mexican fans had been cool to the warning because they sing in English. It was a Sally Fields type moment for Pau. They really like us.

Stage presence out the proverbial wazoo. Even shy, quiet Ale on bass is a monster on stage. For years they received a lot of flak in Mexico because they choose to sing mostly in English. I think it's safe to say they're quickly winning over their Mexican audience as every show they play in Mexico is now sold out.

Such a great song. So many of their songs are a little more standard-fomula pop-rock (which they are great at), but this one is all kinds of original, with Dany and Pau each taking a verse, and Pau's little sweet-sounding but ominous interlude, not to mention the dark theme of the whole song. I'm not entirely clear on the meaning of the lyrics, but the fact that Dany delivers her verse from the perspective of an authoritarian or revolutionary leader, and Pau's verse is a response from the 'disciples' repeating back Dany's orders like a mindless follower, is pretty damn cool and original. Or so I picked up somewhere. Regardless, this is a great song from them, and the video itself is amazing. It's worth it just to see all 5'0" of Pau strutting around like a dictator in her medal-adorned general's uniform. Their creative minds are on full display on this song and video, and I love it. They are political without being preachy or divisive. Very intelligent and mature, and rather rare these days.

Thank you. These concerts they’ve made recently in Mexico are so important for them. Cause there has been some conversation in Mexico about they singing in English etc..And it’s great to see that younger generation of rock folks are loving The Warning. They have fantastic fanbase in Mexico 🔥❤️ I think the problem is the older men who just envy young ladies doin’ rock better than they. So basicly just that typical stupid macho bs 😅 But Future looks bright, younger fans and wise elderly people are understanding the greatness of The Warning.

Las personas que más apoyan a the Warning son la gente mayor que tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer y disfrutar de los grupos de hard rock de los años 70's básicamente, por la similitud que tienen las chicas en su música... los jovenes apena empiezan a conocerlas, me encantaría que en el futuro inmediato ellos fueran una fuerza importante para que el grupo alcanzara los niveles máximos de reconocimiento a los que aspiran y que definitivamente se merecen. A suggestion I'll throw out there if you're into classic/phychedelic/jam rock/thrash metal then check out the band from Australia King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard. They have 23 albums since 2012, most are of completely different genres so it's pretty random what you'll get on the first few listens but since you're a metal guy check out anything from the Infest The Rats Nest album. Of course they are way better live too. Probably won't get many views but once you discover these guys you'll understand that they are probably the best overall rock band like, ever.
