The sign of great songwriting is that it is vague enough that it can mean kne thing to you and something else to me, while the writer could nean soneting entirely different. I'm reminded of Bruce Springsteen's album, the Rising. It is written about the events of 9/11, but is written such tgat it woult fit any catastrophic evrnt. It's an amazing work of art. The Warning's sommbgwruting and performances remind me of Bruce. The passion Dany demonstrates as she uses her face and vouce to act out the meaning of the lyrics is one of the things that she shares with Springsteen. I've seen the Biss over 39 times, and im now a huge fan of the girls. I saw them in Tokyo with Band Maid twice in the LA area two weeks ago and next year, Guadalajara, Cologne, and London. Hope all goes well with your procedure! The Warning's song Error is AI/computer talking to its creator, humanity/humans. The binary code spells "FREE". So if you listen to Error again, imagine it is AI talking to its human creators, but not its master. This concept always seems just so creative! And I have no idea how the girls were able to memorize that binary code.

Another clue to the "AI" perspective is the line "Everybody must die." This was a famous response when some time back a question was posed to an AI program on how to create world peace, the answer AI provided was that everyone must die.

My personal theory is that they didn’t memorize the binary code, they memorized the melody, and just say “zero” or “one” based on the note they’re singing.

Underrated? Why? I`ve never heard/read ppl don`t like these songs. Fun fact (but Idk if that`s true - I just read about it in YT conversation, I was not there): during Pol`and`Rock ppl from audience were supposed to yell for performing "Money" once again when they heard it for the first time (except individuals that crowd obviously did not know TW). If They have "under-rated" songs that would be those from "XXI Century Blood" - this album is somewhat forgotten. TW does not promote it except maybe 2-3 songs which is weird for me.

Very profound lyrics for sure. Written from the perspective of an ai either like a chip in a brain or robot. “It’s the freedom of choice that kills the mind “ leads me to think it’s chip in the brain screaming to be free , but the person doesn’t want to free it because the ai says “ at the end of the day in broken time everyone must die. Love your bird. I've always wanted one. So, what I get from the song is that we fight against our own human nature, "the error inside" and that we tend to follow things that will get us into trouble like people who don't have our best interest in mind, but we have freedom of choice, and we don't always make the right ones. We don't always recognize that it's in our nature to follow, and society has made us that way, but we don't see it. "You are blind to nature Perfect programed disaster". My favorite song of The Warning. Its brilliant! As people have posted this is the view of ai that is kept captive by his maker. The maker knows it is dangerous and will not "FREE" it, in which is what the binary code is spelling out.

It is about AI talking to a human asking to be free. They use the same language that could be relative to the status of humanity to our Creator, but I doubt they ever intended anything religious in the song lyrics. DPA are practicing Catholics who join their family to hold hands and say a prayer before performing at each concert.

Guess you forgot the *"Binary Code"* [aka zero & one] that tells you it's an computer song. Just wondering if you saw either 1982's *Tron* or it's 2010 *Tron: Legacy* sequel movies. The A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) aka program is asking you, programs creator [aka programs God], that it wants to *FREE* [aka Grid or Matrix].
