This was the song that dragged me into the addiction. They kept popping up on my youtube and I kept ignoring it. Then one day I finally relented to this song from the Metropolitan show. Now more than a year later, I still listen to them every single day.

That's awesome! It’s funny how some bands just sneak up on you like that. "Error" is definitely one of those songs that hooks you in with its intensity. What was it about their Metropolitan performance that finally got you? I feel you on listening to them every day - their sound just sticks with you! If you like my other videos, I would be happy to have you as part of my KZbin Family 😊

@@reylynx Well, I'm old school. I grew up with Zeppelin, Cooper, Kiss etc. The last 20+ years, rock and roll has been very lacking. Don't get me wrong there have been good bands, but nothing like the 70s and 80s. Now The Warning comes along with a blend of so many rock genres with that old school feel of what rock and roll is all about.

They are just fucking fierce. Great performance.

Thanks for the comment! I completely agree, they really brought the fire in that performance. The energy was off the charts. Do you have a favorite moment from the live show, or is it just the whole fierce vibe that grabs you? If you like my other video, I would be happy to have you as part of my KZbin Family!

I just discovered The Warning about 3 months ago. I've been binge watching their videos ever since. I have all their CDs. I don't think these ladies can write a bad song. And they're so young! Amazing! They have made me like rock music again.

That's awesome to hear! It's crazy how The Warning can reignite that passion for rock music, right? I feel the same - they've got such a unique sound, and it's hard to believe how young they are with all the talent they bring. Do you have a favorite song or performance of theirs so far? I’m always discovering new gems from them! And hey, if you like my other videos, I would be happy to have you as part of my KZbin Family! 😊

This song is written from the perspective of an AI yearning to be set free. The binary code they are singing translates to "free"

That's a fascinating interpretation! I love the idea of the song coming from an AI's perspective-it's such a unique angle. The concept of yearning for freedom really adds depth to the music.

@@reylynx That freaking outro blows my mind all the time. There is a performance from TEDX 2016 or 2017, when Dani is 15, Pau 13 and Ale 11. They play this song live being so young, how professional they were in those years.

After the relative failure of Queen of the Murder Scene & Error, The Warning realized that their intellectualism won't impress today's listeners. Nowadays people don't appreciate profound poetry unlike the classic rock era of '60s & '70s. We can see that in comments in this thread where their performance is praised way more than the profundity of their thoughts. So the sisters went into collaborative songwriting for their 4th album in the name of having fun. With co-writers having average depth of English, they brought down their lyrics to the market level. Sure enough S!ck cracked Billboards Top 10 few months back. Now in this song Error, eponymous with their 3rd album, the girls talk about struggle of artificial intelligence with humanity. Hence we have a long binary code that translates to the word "free". And then Pau penned some sumptuous metaphors "You want people to love you It's encoded in your greed" ............encoded in your greed - fantastic line "Human nature in question Flawed and broken in silence" ...... that's deep "But you know it's your purpose Sacrifices are made to be perfect" ......come to think of it Pau is correct "You are blind to the nature Perfect programed disaster ............................accurate definition of humans You're my maker but you're not my master" "I'm the error inside At the end of the day in borrowed time Everybody must die It's the freedom of choice that kills the mind" ...........Pau has reached the level of Queen of the Murder Scene

Thank you for this deep dive into the lyrical content of Error and The Warning’s journey! It’s really interesting to hear your perspective on the evolution of their songwriting. I hadn’t thought about the transition from the intellectualism in Queen of the Murder Scene and Error to the more accessible, fun approach in their newer work, but it makes sense, especially with the industry's direction nowadays. The fact that they managed to crack Billboard’s Top 10 with S!ck definitely shows they’re adapting to what resonates with listeners today. I absolutely agree about Pau's lyrics in Error. The metaphors really dig into that AI vs. human struggle, and "encoded in your greed" is such a brilliant line-it really cuts through. The way Pau ties in themes of freedom, choice, and humanity's flawed nature is poetic, even if not everyone fully appreciates that depth. You mentioned they’ve brought the lyrical complexity down a bit for the 4th album, but do you think there's still room for them to sneak in those profound moments even while keeping it fun? I’d love to know what you think about that balance between mass appeal and lyrical depth in their future work. By the way, if you like my other videos, I would be happy to have you as part of my KZbin Family!

@@reylynx Personally I was blown away by Pau's metaphorical poetry in Queen of the Murder Scene & their earlier albums. In QOTMS she was Dylan-esque with her metaphors and as dark as Waters in The Dark Side of the Moon. Had QOTMS been released in 70s, The Warning would have become household names. Because people listened to lyrics in those days. Pau has about 500+ song ideas stored in her mobile as per her Masterclass in Soundcheck Xpo 2022. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fX6lqmeviJ1phbs Whether she will go back to the profundity of earlier albums remains to be seen in the future. We can see the evolution of their songwriting since 2015. In Black Holes, written in 2015 when Pau was 13, she had to rush through the words at times. That is because the metre of her poetry didn't match the bar of her melody. This was addressed by QOTMS published in 2018.
