So the VMAs were on a Tuesday evening. This along with More was recorded on the previous Friday. Then MTV played 50 second clips during the main show and it was labeled the Extended Play Stage. The girls did get to attend the main show and were so well dressed that they were featured in many online fashion magazines including Cosmopolitan, Vanity Fair, and Glamour. TW were the only Extended Play Stage artist to record their songs in one take and the only artist not nominated that played.

*Evolve Tibits:* Two Español songs are: *Martirio* (Martyrdom) *Narcisista* (Narcissists) The song *Evolve* was written (music) before any lyrics were thought of. Normally, Pau starts a song on a piano with a lyric or riff. Then she brings what she has to her two other sisters who replaces the piano with guitar, bass then drums. As Dany (guitarist & lead vocals) have stated the majority of their songs starts of as acoustic songs. Then they Warningize those acoustic songs. *DON'T BE AFRAID TO PLAY A WARNING SONG THAT'S ACOUSTIC.* Even some of their very *ROCKING SONGS* like *Dull Knives Cut Deeper* sound just as good as an acoustic song. Back already? Evolve (the official video) is the first thing I saw of theirs almost two years ago and I had no idea at the time it would be a game changer. I spent the next week going through their discography. After 40 years of following the rock world I never expected three sisters from Mexico, barely 20 years old, to have such an impact. It's a very rewarding rabbit hole. If you listen to the Spanish songs first, (Martirio and Narcisista), that's great. They have backstories and versions with subtitles. whichever you chose next, you won't be disappointed. Every song is unique and stands on it's own. Even their early covers are things that give adult cover bands a run for their money. Thanks for the reaction!

The rabbit hole is deep and amazing Welcome from the TWA Canada. They did a cover of Enter Sandam by Metallica when they were 14, 12 and 9 24 + million views. This is a perfect place to start. I suggest you play that video first then watch their live at Teatro Met 08/29/22 it's a version they created for Metallica's 30yr anniversary Black album. It's simply just an incredible version that they loved so much they made it the first song on the album. The harmonies in their version are stunning. There is no delineation with TWA between their English and Spanish language songs. They are both equally loved. Obviously TW has a significant English and Spanish speaking fan base. TW have indicated that’s it’s actually easier for them to write in English because it fits better as a language to the timing or cadence of rock music. TW have mentioned they will continue to include Spanish language songs and I’d expect at least 1, if not more, on their upcoming TW4 album. Since English, Mandarin and Spanish are the most spoken languages in the world, TW have 2 of the 3 covered.

Honestly, last night I took the time to listen to their entire concert at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX from beginning to end with no breaks or interruptions and it was spectacular! The first song Z was their opener. Complete chef's kiss 😘 Maybe if you do something from that concert - which you HAVE TO - you might want to start with that one and see how they connect with their audience instantly. If you have a chance to see them in concert, it's worth it - especially so, if they're headlining their own show. Tons of fans drive hundreds of miles or more to catch their shows. I couldn't help but agree with your comments about a story. I am an avid Angelina Jordan fan and her story from childhood to the present is a significant part that brought me in. The same has happened with the warning and I have really discovered that The emotional bond is developed from feeling like family and understanding everything about them, not just their music. And about this presentation in Mtv I have to say: The hungriest, biggest, most powerful and ferocious beast was restrained on a short leash, muzzled and contained in the backyard… NOW IT WAS RELEASED!! One of the best performances of this song ever. They nailed it and the internet exploded the day after this with searches for The Warning on KZbin. May I suggest for your 2 Spanish songs to do the live versions. Narcisista from Lenario or Theatrro Metropolitan is a must. Materio is their other song in Spanish and I believe the only live recording is from Theatro Metropolitan. As for their covers when they first started out, you have to check out their Metallica cover of Enter Sandman when they were 14, 12 and 9 years old. Also they recorded 3 songs at Liceo, which is their school when they were young. I believe the songs are Hysteria (Muse), Crazy Train (Ozzy) and The Pretender (Foo Fighters). On their recent tours, they use this song about 99% of the time as their closer. It is especially effective in pumping up the crowd when they are opening for a another band. But even for their headliner shows, this is a satisfying conclusion to a concert. Pau says that the scream is a great way for her to relieve any of the pressure left over from amping up for the show and the frustrations for anything that went wrong during the show.

Well, Ale the bass player hates to sing lead and will only do it when Dani needs rest or is sick. She doesn't have a strong lead voice character developed. Totally competent backup singer. Sometimes there's a live video with her mic turned up and you can tell she could sound like either of her sisters, just no grit. She has the widest range, so she critically fills the sound with her deep range.

A little backstory: a few years back some people and media in Mexico complained that they wrote their songs in english and how true and good Mexicans wouldn't do that bla bla bla. Complete bs! The two people you remarked about were in fact TWA members, but they were most likely the only two TWA members in the audience! The crowd were absolutely blown away by the girls, quite rightly so! Narcissista and Marterio are the two Spanish songs and are both absolute bangers! Thanks for continuing The Warning journey, looking forward to many more. You mentioned female empowerment, and I know you're already fans of Band-Maid. Another Japanese female band you should check out is Lovebites. They play metal, but are not limited to one sub genre; they're influenced by many of the classic metal bands but have given it a modern twist. They have two of the best guitarists (both leads) of our era. And they sing in English. Like The Warning, their live shows are sensational. A good starting point is the 2023 comeback concert, look for Hammer of Wrath on their YT site, released a couple of months ago. Then fasten your seatbelts! Cheers from Australia, subscribed. Let’s not get carried away, yes all of them sing but the other 2 sisters don’t have the vocal range of Dany so they won’t be able to sing and sustain their voice in 80% of the TW songs. So calling all of them lead singers is incorrect. Dany is the lead singer for 80% of their songs, Pau sings 20% of their songs. Ale hasn’t officially sang lead on any songs except for few live performances. Neither Pau or Ale has the vocal range of Dany and the girls have mentioned that themselves.

Ale (bass) does not sing lead, other than to occasionally pitch hit. I have yet to hear any evidence that she has what it takes to be a lead singer. She sings backing vocals and does a good job.
