Three sisters from Monterrey, MX. They started in 2012. They became The Warning in 2013. Today they are Dany, guitarrist 23, Pau, drummer 21, and Ale, bassist 18. In 2022 they did over 100 gigs in North and South America along with Foo fighters, Halestorm, the Pretty Reckless, Three Days Grace, and Guns ‘n Roses. Earlier this year they did four shows with Muse in Mexico and finished 18 shows on the first US leg of their world tour. They then did concerts throughout Europe including opening for Muse five times in the UK and France. Many of these had 30-60 thousand fans in attendance. They recently completed the second leg of their US tour, played at the MTV VMAs, and opened for Guns N’ Roses. They have shows planned in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Argentina, for the Fall. In February of 2024 they will play Shiprock, a rock cruise, and in August 2024 they will play the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany. All three are classically trained pianists and Dany & Ale can play sax. All three sing lead and background vocals; but Dany is the principal singer. They were inspired by the video game Rock Band and two of their songs are available on Rock Band IV. They appeared on the Ellen Show in 2015. They are fully bilingual as they attended a bilingual Catholic school in Monterrey, Liceo de Monterrey. But later they all graduated high school through home schooling due to their touring schedule. They attended Berklee College of Music Summer Program in Boston in 2015. They started as a cover band. Their cover of Enter Sandman launched their career. They now have 47 original songs in an EP, three albums, and two singles. No bad songs. Their newest single, More, was released May 12th. They have a rich collection of live videos, music videos and lyric videos on their channel. There are also vlogs and individual performances. Any video from the August 2022 concert at the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City is gold! When not performing they are humble down to earth individuals. Welcome to the wonderful world of The Warning! The Villarreal sisters from Monterrey Mexico are Daniela "Dany" current age 23 (guitar, piano, lead and backing vocals), Paulina "Pau" 21 (drums, piano, lead and backing vocals), and Alejandra "Ale" 18 (bass, piano, backing vocals). They all started with classical piano lessons when they were about 5. When Dany was about 7 the family got the video game Rock Band which is where they fell in love with rock music and wanted to be on stage. That's when Dany started guitar lessons and Pau on the drums. A few years later Ale chose the bass. After a few months of that they realized they had the makings of a band and started trying to play some covers together. They would learn a song in their basement studio that dad set up and record them for their grandparents to see. In 2014 (ages 14, 12, and 9) they recorded a cover of Enter Sandman that ended up going viral to the tune of 25 million views today. They took that opportunity to start writing their own music and currently have almost 50 original songs to their credit with a 4th album in the works as we speak. Their studio tracks and music videos are amazing, but their real superpower lies in playing live music. This is a very deep and rewarding rabbit hole to fall into, their fanbase "The Warning Army" (TWA) is large, loyal, and very supportive. To answer a couple of your questions, Pau does sing while playing the drums using a headset mic and has several songs that she sings lead on as well. They are perfectly bilingual, but they do write most of their songs in English. Currently they do have two Spanish songs in their catalog - Martirio and Narcisista. Narcisista was written in response to critics of their in Mexico who thought they were betraying their culture by only singing in English, so they responded with that song. To really set the hook, I would suggest checking out Evolve also from the VMAs and then start digging into their professionally filmed and recorded live show from Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022. The rabbit hole is deep, my friends. You've only just been warned! They're young but have ten years of professional experience performing. They did over 100 shows last year and are just going into their last phase of their first world tour. They have been headlining some venues but also opening for bands like Muse and GNR. In Mexico they just sold out an 8000 seat venue in Mexico City. So, yeah, they are up and coming. BTW, The drummer is Pau. She is singing harmony with a boom mike attached to her headset, just it hard to see. They did a second song at the VMAs and her vocal is more prominent. All three of them sing, though Ale the bass player rarely does lead vocals. Dany, the lead guitarist handles about 80% of the lead vocals, with Pau doing the remainder. She sings and plays drums at the same time without the strain hindering her voice.They had two EPs and three albums out. They have two Spanish language songs, but the rest of their nearly 50 released songs are in English. So there is a lot of material to explore. I think their second album, Queen of the Murder Scene is their heaviest so far. And during the break between legs of their tour they have been int he studio recording nrew material for their 4th album likely to be released next year. They are with Lava/Republic Records now, though their first two albums and first EP were independently recorded.

You need to watch them do Evolve from the VMAs as well. It's a heavier song. Next, you want to go and do almost anything from their live Teatro Metropolitan shows. I'd start with Disciple, then Animosity and then their cover of Enter Sandman.

The drummer is also lead vocal; she wears a small headset mic. This band is phenomenal, and even better live! I’m 62, have seen them live twice, can’t wait for another show, and have a tattoo of their logo on my arm. My opinion is you can start with their early videos from 10 years ago and march forward. But I recommend that you watch all of the official videos from their show at the Teatro Metropolitan in CDMX from August of 22 … you’ll be a fan forever!

Trust me Pau (the Drummer) does have a vocal mic and yes she does sing; she even sings lead on several songs and shares vocals with Dany (guitarist) who is the main singer of the group. Check out Disciple from Teatro Metropolitan CDMX to see Pau and Dany sharing vocals and Dust to Dust from the same concert to see Pau sing full lead while drumming. I would also suggest watching their song Evolve also from the VMAS. They only have 2 songs in Spanish, Martirio, which is damn good and Narcisista which is sung again by Pau while drumming and is a response to some critics who criticized them for singing in English. Ale (Ah-Leh, Bassist) also sings lead but only when Dany needs a break or is ill, she does not like to sing lead preferring to remain backing vocals but steps up and does a great job when needed. These incredible sisters have been rocking for over ten years and to date do not have a bad song anywhere in my opinion.

as a follower of DPA/TW (since roughly 2012), i'm quite proud and happy for DPA/TW for making these milestone appearances at two MTV functions, the MIAW in CDMX (back in Aug) and the VMAs in NY&NJ (Extended Stage) (in Sep)... two other milestones are 1) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the VMAs, and 2) they were invited to perform while not being nominated for anything... that speaks volumes in a great and huge way! now add to that they have been doing this for 10 years and, right now, most of that was while independent... yes, they have been playing longer than 10 years but that includes while they were learning and starting to become proficient at their art and individual instruments... in a vlog they made a couple of years ago, Pau mentions that she has been drumming for 13 years... she was 19 at that time... that was 2 years ago... it is hard to believe, but quite obvious once you have watched them a few times, that they have been playing their instruments for 15 years and playing together as a band for 10 years... we won't even mention how this all started because of the game Rock Band 😹 Many (most?) of DPA/TW's songs are started by Pau (drums) on piano before being shown to her sisters... then all three work together to rockify it and create their unmistakable signature sound... The Villarreal Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020. They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track! The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 23, 21 and 18 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #46 original songs. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. 🗣 Thank you for sharing your reaction! 🤘🤓🍿

I honestly believe The Warning will single-handedly bring rock music back to main stream status. Yes, there are other good rock bands out there but none of them seem to have that “it” factor of which The Warning obviously have. I say this because I personally know of several people who have never liked rock music, or even considered listening to it, end up liking and following The Warning. To date I have had the great honor of meeting them twice via meet and greets, as well as enjoying their performances live. Even this early in their careers they are by far the best live band I have ever seen, and believe me, I have seen many of the greats in my time. It is an experience I suggest all who love music of any form to do if at all possible. In my nearly 64 years of life I have never been so into a band. I joined their Patreon page within the first hour of its creation and have been saying for many years now, that they would one day be recognized world wide. I fully expect them to eventually gain the status of the greatest power trio of all time, selling out the biggest venues, arenas and stadiums. They will, without doubt, end up being invited to headline the most prestigious music festivals in the world. If you continue down this rabbit hole I guarantee you will not be disappointed as they have 47 original songs in their collection, being found in 3 full albums, 1 EP and two stand alone singles plus a reimagined rendition of Metallicas Enter Sandman, created as a collaboration with (oddly enough due to your initial mistake) Canadian pop star Alessia Cara exclusively for Metallicas BlackList album. Choose any one of their songs and you will quickly discover they seem incapable of putting out a bad song. LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS!

Three musical prodigies that fell in love with rock because of the video game Rock Band. They had a dream to rock the world and started the band at ages 13, 11, and 8 after practicing their instruments for years. They put on the work 10,000 hours each, played clubs and festivals in Mexico for years as independent band. The bassist Ale was in fourth grade when the made their first album and music video! She’s the last one you notice because Dany and Pau are just too mesmerizing but she may be the glue that holds the whole thing together. Pau is a force of nature and just won ‘up and coming’ drummer award but has been a Pro for years. Dany turns every concert into a party and her guitar solos will blow you away! Their rise to the top was delayed a few years because COVID kept them hidden right as they were breaking out. Catch them live before they start selling out stadiums!!

I think you would enjoy Dust to Dust from Lunario. Dull Knives from The Warning Cave is a rock classic. Welcome to The Warning, you have no idea how hard these sisters rock!!! The Warning and Band maid have met and are fans of each other. 'More' is a experimental track, a track to broaden their diversity if you like. More is actually their first song they wrote with other people. Check out their other song Evolve, also performed at the same VMA awards. After that you should concentrate on their performance at the Teatro Metropolitan theatre cdmx from August last year. A great concert with great audio and video. Any song, any order, you will enjoy any. Pau the drummer was singing and had a headset mic on. Pau will also take lead on certain songs too. Dust to Dust, or a Song in Spanish, Narcisista or Martirio which is sung by Dany, the guitarist. Ale is on bass at 18 years old whilst Pau on drums is 21 and Dany 23. Great reaction to Villarreal Vélez sisters: Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra. they have over 50 released songs 2-LP'S , 3-Albums and 2 singles and pick any song they have music videos but there better live. The drummer Pau ( say POW) sings lead on quite a few songs ,bassist only sings lead when big sister Dany guitarist isn't feeling well. Spanish songs are "Matirio" and "Narcisita" (Spanish drummer sings lead). And Teatro Metropolitan shows are top notch.

Not sure why you would think Pau the drummer does not have a mic when she is the one that says one two three go at 3:40 right before she gives you more cowbell. 😉 All 3 sing Dany(guitar) lead and really bad jokes, Pau(2023 Drummer Magazine up and coming winner) backup and some lead and Ale(bass) sings backup and lead when Dany needs a rest but seeing her sing lead live is like finding a unicorn in your kitchen. This was the tame song they did at the VMA's the one that blew the stage up was Evolve. edit: TW are big fans of Band Maid and meet them at a festival last year. Also they have 2 songs in spanish and the other 48 are in english...yes they have a bigger catalog than some rrhof bands already.
