Yes, there are videos in little clips of her busting, her bass heads, snapping her snare breaking symbols. These used to call them the shredder cause she went through so many sticks lol she hits hard.

@@ThunderRooster There is a video where they were playing at a festival and Pau made a hole on the bass drum cause she was hitting the pedal so hard that she had to switch to her left leg to use the side that was still good. So, yeah she hits very hard! i have seen another video were you can see that she almost stands up to step on the pedal. Then she told the fans "Se what i did" I broke my drum kit for you guys, now i want you to get your hands up! Got to love her!

Pau actually won the Sabian hit like a girl competition several years ago and came back as a judge the following year. It’s said that most girls play drums like they’re petting a puppy. Pau plays like she’s beating the guy who stole her puppy!

As for Pau (POW!) being a hard hitter - she has really toned it down a lot over the years. She used to play like a literal Animal, to the point that she looked like she might hurt herself, or at least wear out her shoulders many years too early. She still hits hard, but her movements are more efficient. Caveat - I know nothing about drums, I just have a preference for hard-hitters, and Pau immediately caught my eye, and pretty quickly became my favourite drummer. It was their 2017 Tedx performance that finally broke me and made me declare - for the first time - that I had a favourite drummer, and it was Pau. That Tedx show is legendary. They did 3 songs, and gave little speeches in between songs. It was a big moment for them, and they killed it. They were only 17, 15, and 12 at the time. As a newer fan I really disliked their earlier stuff out of principle, but it's actually great, as is everything they've done, and gained them a lot of fans at the time. Once you've seen their Teatro show Tedx should definitely be on your long list of great TW content to check out.

Back in the day she actually hurt herself a finger while playing opening for The Killers after the show she had to go to the hospital but as a pro she is she went through the entire concert holding on the pain and finishing the job. Cheers.

In some of their older shows, pre-kickblock, you can see the drum tech come on stage and crouch down in front of the bass drum. I always wondered what he was doing, now i know.

Paulina is finally getting the recognition she deserves, one of the best straight forward rock drummers out there today! One thing people often overlook about her is she only plays what the song needs, but her drumming skills go far beyond what she plays with The Warning. Plus she is an amazing vocalist and song writer, the complete package!

Pau really cannot have a huge kit since she really is only 5-foot nothing (I have met her a number of times). Her reach is not anywhere close to what Danny Carey or Neil Peart could manage.

*How hard did Pau hit rhe drums??* Check out their 2 *TEDx Talks* videos they did in 2016 & 2017. Pau learned how she didn't have to hit so hard to get the sound she wants.

There is a video were she made a hole in the bass drum with her pedal, They had to stop the concert to get the tech to apply a patch to the drum and she tried it and again punched a hole thru the patch, she had to use her left leg on the "good" side of the drum. But her left leg was hurting afterwards because she was not used to using that side of her leg for the kick drum.

More of their stuff is a good thing haha! When they first started playing MORE live Pau used a wood block for about a week before switching to the Paubell. Think she used a wood block in the studio recording but don't remember for sure. Cool reaction! Glad to hear your son's getting into drumming. 🙌🤘🏻

Hey, good to hear another one. It's fun to hear even if you're not using this gear. Pau has been playing a full size kit since she was very young. I think they are as good as they are because no one ever told them they couldn't do it. (aside from friends who they later wrote songs about.👽😁)

An LP Jam Block instead of a cowbell was used on the studio recording of "MORE". And, there were fan-made videos from when they first started playing it on tour, and the Jam Block could clearly be seen; it was white. However, she very quickly switched to the cowbell live. She had one when I saw her in Los Angeles on May 2nd last year. The song was officially released afterward on May 12th. In its official music video, she'd already switched to cowbell, and the one shown was an LP Rock Rider with a yellow impact bar on top. I have the same one.

Pau can probably get by with the 14" a bit easier, since they're always mic'd. It's certainly not an issue with price. They most likely don't need to worry about equipment - they have a great mix of product sponsors, Patreon, merch, ticket sales, KZbin revenue, royalties, etc... They've been playing professionally for a long, long time.

Nah, the 14" is the depth, it wouldn't affect her no matter how deep it was. I'm guessing if anything it's probably chosen for it's smaller size in transportation, and it's smaller footprint on smaller stages. That's assuming it's choen for any other reason than it's her preferred bass drum size. As someone kind of picky about bass drum sounds I've always thought her's sounds very good.
