Way heavier in the studio version. On the main riff the guitars are heavily stacked and it sounds thick as fuck. Live version it sounds like one note.

I'm glad to see that Dany does the falsetto part during LIVE performances now. When all I had to go by was the LIVE version and she didn't do it, I didn't know what I was missing but now it has become a part of the song I anticipate every time I listen to it.

Lol, to the people getting hurt by those that prefer the live versions. This is not about hating the "studio" sound, but liking the ferocity that a live performance can inject into an already good song. The song More is another song that benefits from that live energy. Even in a cellphone video it comes across, and if you can't understand that it's on you. No reason to disparage those that like live versions better. It's a special gift that not all bands possess (to make their sings feel/sound even better live).

But you should also understand the need for videos. Its part of the business of having a musician career (you dont right?). Its a proven strategy that all business thrives on advertsing - that is what a music video does especially in a world of socials media. . If you dont see that side of it then you hurting yourself with your imbalanced view. You like live show great - leave it like that. No needed to compare video with live performance. Both are equally needed - music vids tends to accelerate the business side.

@@rickyjones01 lol, what does preferring a bands live sound have to do with music videos in general (because I referenced this cellphone video)? I'm comparing the sound of their studio recordings (which would be used in their produced videos, sure) to the sound of a live performance. I'm certainly not a professional musician, but I have been playing for over 30 years and I know what I like/prefer from certain bands and do have a little knowledge on how the industry works.

Some people just can’t accept the modern sound of the official version… but they are not in charge and can still enjoy their 70s and 80s recordings… I too love their live sound, it’s their secret power, since I saw them live, I love More… some say about Sick „crap radio sound“… I think this narrow minded opinion is crap… I hope they get airplay in the rock radios all over the world, they deserve it! This is S!CK(pun intended). In my opinion, The Warning are the best band in the whole lineup for ShipRocked this year and to me should be the real Headliner. Would have loved to be on that cruise, but the only band I would've wanted to see is The Warning.

Wow, thanks for the quick upload. I didn't know whether we would see any of this until the ship was back in Miami or not. Was the crowd here big? Did they fill that theater? I know they were kind of "the Headliner" (10pm, main theater, first night) so I am wondering if they filled the place, and what was the reaction to them?

Ale is definitely leaving the original "Ale's Inferno" bass at home for safe keeping. She seems to have retired it toward the end of 2023. The blue Spector is the same model, beautiful bass.

@@Bristolcentaurus The fall was opening for Muse in Mexico start of 2023 tour schedule, she kept using it all 2023, Europe/US/Canada/Mexico/South America.. she only started using the blue one in the last 4 or 5 shows. Her tuning does not change so there is no need to travel with both of them, so in most cases it's one or the other.

@@Bristolcentaurus yep she retired it a number of months after accident in Jan 2023. She brought it back one time for the MTV show Dec of 2023. With all the customization it's a $9k to $10k bass + sentimental value, not worth risking something happening to it on tour.

I’d think that is her kit but she does have several that I think they store regionally but yeah that is not one of her main kits. Bonbon (white with a rack) and there is a black one with a rack she uses mostly.

I'd bet The Warning wish people would put away their phones and wait for an official concert video recorded from pristine audio sources - the mics on the singers, amplifiers, and drum kit, each captured digitally on a separate track, for later mixing and editing. The 08/29/2022 concert at Teatro Metropolitan is a perfect example of that - You can hear every note, every word. Sure, the phone video captures the audience, but that's not what the vast majority of viewers want to hear. I do hope they get together with Lava/Republic and release a live album sometime soon, because they play live with a quality that is missing in a studio. Studio producers want to polish all the rough edges off a song, and over-process the audio with all their fancy toys. A live recording, with a gentle mix-down in post, is REAL. Reference their eight year old recording of the cover of Foo Fighters' The Pretender. The first take was used for the audio, and they played four total takes for the video editing after. Audio was mixed from the location recording. It's not perfect. But it is real, and you can hear their convictions.

I believe we would all love a professional shot video but I don't agree with you on the phones. A majority of us found TW on YT that way. Also most of us fans will watch whatever they can get 🤷

There’s a new genre of phone recording just now being developed. There are often several really good 4k videos of every time they play. A lot of times there is decent audio that can be cleaned up. But also, because they use a click track and are extremely well-rehearsed -audio from other shows where the sound is good can be used to clean up bad spots in the audio. It’s a lot of work but I see people doing it and getting better at it.

I know I'm in the minority here but I'm all about capturing the raw immediacy and feel of a live performance, warts and all. You can almost see and hear the splices edits and drop-ins when post production sweetening is added. Sure it "sounds better" and has a cleaner feel to it, but it just lacks the rawness of actually being there or watching someone's phone video. Again, just my opinion.

These comments -- some of them -- are why I can't identify with TWA. First, I do appreciate the live performance captured here, so thanks for sharing. But the live-freaks who prefer muddy fan-cam audio to the polished studio product -- labored over by the band -- are just demented. Live absolutely does not always trump studio. The visual aspect of live is better, and the sound system in person, and that's all that is better.

@@daves_not_here_mannn I'm not sure that it sounds as good as it could. There was a little chirp of feedback. and the camera sound was very blurry which wouldn't be the case if the sound system was properly covering the fan's seat. Sound engineers care to your benefit.
