There is zero percent chance Jon Allen is cut to save money. Even with all these signings they have plenty of cap left and Allen is one of the true leaders on the roster and a productive guy.

The Washington Commanders when Peters and Quinn walked in the door were literally at the level of an expansion team. This squad had ZERO pro bowlers in 2023 while the 49ers on the other end of the spectrum had nine. There was replacement level talent across the offensive line (outside of RG) and ditto at DE and LB. The team is moving to build depth there. Jimmy Johnson turned over the entire roster save Michael Irvin and Nate Newton over the course of his first 2 years in Dallas. I expect MORE signings - this team isn't bringing back it's own free agents. BTW, only TWO of the team's free agents have been signed during early free agency, both by New England - Jacoby Brissett (likely placeholder till draft of top qb prospect) and change of pace running back Antonio Gibson. If anyone signs Nick Gates or Logan Thomas let me know.

I’m not saying Howell is the man, but I just find it stupid to trade him for a late rd draft pick. We have him for cheap on a rookie contract for 2-3 more years we mine as well keep him and hope he can continue to develop, he could be a solid back up in this league. It just doesn’t make sense to trade him if you ask me. I know we just signed Marriota as a back up but it’s just a 1 year deal.

I agree with almost everything except picking Maye with the 2nd pick. He is this years Mitchell Tribsky. I don't care about his NFL size. Look at the draft the last 10-15 yrs. ACC Qbs do not transfer well into the NFL. I rather trade for Justin Fields. Or let Howell go at it again because the once in a lifetime QB be is going to be in the draft next year. And that is Mr. Sanders out of Colorado!!!! I am not sold on this years class of QBs, I don't have a problem with Daniels, but Celeb diva! The rest ok. I would like one of two QBs in a latter round, the kid from Oregon or the kid from Tennessee. They Hungery and lead there teammates. I would use that number 2 pick to either get my first choice Marvin Harrison Jr. Or the best lineman in the draft. After that I would use my draft capitol to move up or around to get the top 5 or 6 players that can impact the team immediately, even better if I acquire picks for next year while doing so!

Our CBs are okay, just badly coached and you failed to mention Forbes and im guessing theyll try to make BSJ work. You also forgot jamin Davis who was on the up at the end of the season too. The jets took Tyrod Taylor and Brissett is going to the browns. Howell being traded to the jets made less sense than him going to Denver because 1. Hes cheap and 2. Sean Payton, which if any coach could get him looking like Drew Brees, its him. Im guess you don't really keep up with the team much?
