I've tried this before! If you take the Iterator voice clips (both from LttM and FP (and I assume SoS, but I haven't tried it with her one voice clip)), and reverse it, then slow the tempo down a certain amount, you'll be able to hear somewhat legible speech! You can't make everything out since the delay effect they put on the voices overpower parts of it, but it's decipherable at least half the time. Pretty sure James Primate voiced FP and Lydia Esrig voiced LttM - not so sure about who did SoS's voice though. Probably Lydia again, but I can't say.

This is either just a coincidence, something that sounds like "Is this reaching you?" and your mind just thinks that it's that phrase. Or you are right, and this is something they put in intentionally as an easter egg, or maybe it's actually possible to decypher the message through a lot of editing :D

I like to think that the Ancients were the ones that voiced their own Iterators Like, Imagine if Pebbles' voice program is just his parent's voice but edited to sound like this. But i think that Videocult just uses the same lines for multiple characters to save some time.

I think the definition of the poem, is that a drop, is a life. This life goes in a circle, a ring, and that's EXACTLY what how the ancients explained the cycle. And there's suddenly: Another drop. Another life. Another cycle. When having too much of them, like in the video, it gets confusing. They interact with one another, for some reason. I like to believe this is a little lore snippet.

It can be entirely unrelated, its just a coincidence due to the way the devs made iterator voices (by reversing their voice and doing some effects). Yeah it might be an iterator, but I think downpour kind of exhausted iterator content so idk why one would be important in the new dlc

I think it's just James doing his thing. It can be similar to how he voiced Pebbles, but I dont think that means similar technique cant be used otherwise. It may be some karmic deity, or just trying to sound cool, who knows. And I'd rather not have new iterators. There's enough of them, with alive ones, sick ones, ruined ones and all that. And in terms of gameplay, well i'm not a fan of climbimg any more legs and doing more 0g. I think watcher might just not have any iterators. In the purple communications array clip, there are no iterators at all standing above the clouds, and there even aren't any more communication towers. I think nightcat might just focus on world view building, that is revealing more about the cycle and void stuff, and have less connections with lore of ancients and iterators. I think the text of trailor hints that, with each ripple representing one being's cycle, and it entangles with all other beings cycles and such. I think it will be cooler that way, and will be something only videocult can give an answer to. James is the project lead afterall, and he wrote the lore for vanilla.

SoS actually failed to ascend and stayed behind as an echo but there was never anything nearby with high enough karma to trigger an echo appearance so nobody knows about it, all the other iterators are just working off of false assumptions and have been doing so for millenia

That voice clip is from when you first meet him as survivor. I think it's implied that he is trying to speak to you and then enunciating slowly.

this sure was an interesting observation but i am more puzzled by what is actually being said they use the waves of water drops as an analogy for cycles, the initial drop being the birth ? im not sure but then they go further and let us think about these waves interacting and intersecting, which naturally is a consequence of us sharing the world and the universe we exist in, and then they just escalate the amount of these drops, and the water becomes a mess, towering and plummeting, until none of the waves is recognizable anymore. but what does this actually mean ? i mean yeah there is a lot of entities in the cycle interacting with each other all the time, so how is this any different ? i dont know where they are coming from but i hear people talking about how maybe the watcher can see like every time or cycle at once and things like that or how its an outside observer (watcher) of the cycle based on the echo imagery

But the "is this reaching you?" sounds unusually clear. Is this actually just the Pebbles voice lines, kinda reversing how they were originally produced?
