This hit home for me. My sister had an abusive and stalker boyfriend. And one day she came home with bruises on both of her arms. I warned him about what would happen if he had hurt her in any way. She said that he told her that he wasn't afraid of me and that I was all talk as he did it. He was sorely mistaken. And I made sure that he knew exactly how wrong it was to lay his hands on her. And how wrong he was in thinking that my warning was just empty words.
