This is filling the gap that Hodinkee's talking watches left behind. Im so tired of seeing the same Daytonas and Pateks of rich actors, musicians, etc. So much more relatable to hear these stories and watches.

"The right kind of ugly..." That is the perfect summation of the Doxa Sub 300 Professional, my first dive watch back in 1969. Definitely an enjoyable and informative interview. Thanks.

My favourite series of this channel. Absolutely refreshing to listen to the regular, hardworking, successful "man next door" talk about his watches and what they mean to him. Also they usually talk about items which I can actually afford! Rather than "ok here's my diamond studded platinum Daytona blessed by John Mayor". I mean really, this man has a Stowa. Nobody on KZbin has ever talked about a Stowa!
@robertcancellare61379 ай бұрын
This is your best interview to date! Natural, good pacing and obviously fun.

I love this segment. Love seeing the collections of the "normal" people, not just the rich celebrities with their rainbow daytonas, platinum nautilus or 5M RMs that are just unobtainable to us mere mortals (nothing wrong with those watches though, love them all). And seeing the people that actually love watches talking about them and not just showing off expensive pieces. Keep it up :)

This is the best collection video yet, thank you Teddy and of course Matt. Every piece stunning, especially the fuggly ones! Must be the designer in me clicking with Matt and his watches. Watches really are one of the purist statements of every element of design rolled into one - so many designer are obsessed with them and I am sure I'm not the only one who "plays" drawing watches on 3d modelling programmes instead of video games! 🫣

It's refreshing and interesting to see collections of watches from "ordinary" people, as opposed to fabulously wealthy celebrities with their six-figure timepieces, and to listen to them talk with pride and appreciation about watches that many more people can afford and most likely think about in terms of acquiring for themselves. Adam Levine on Hodinkee with his jewel-encrusted Daytona was quite the spectacle, but this is more satisfying to hear a "regular dude" graphics designer explain what he likes about his more down to earth watch selections.

Love the Doxa, I have a black dial but also looking for the orange. I'm old enough to remember Jacques Cousteau on TV when I was very young and his classic orange dial Doxa.
