If the city of David is where David dwelt, that means Soloman also dwelt there. If Soloman dwelt there then where would the Temple of Soloman be? My guess, it's in the city of David where the Gihon Spring is because the temple needs a lot of freshwaters.

This could literally solve the dilemma of the 3rd temple being built. The temple mount wouldn't need to be removed. This could be HUGE!

The messiah would come from the genealogy of David - the line of Juda. The kingdom-government of the messiah will be established forever. Jesus comes from this line from both sides of his family and his genealogy goes back to 4026 BCE. In ancient times they always built palaces atop the mountains. It was hard to fight going up a hill. It is easy to shoot downwards and defend a citadel downwards. Abraham met Melchizedek in this same city and offered up his son Isaac on mount moriah - the same place Solomon built the temple.... on the rock.

I love hearing from Erick and Ze'ev. How do you know the temple wasn't also in the City of David?
@steve.574 жыл бұрын
This is a theory that is popular with folks that don't want us Jews having any historical connection to the Temple Mount. They like spreading it around. Is that what your doing?
@richflinchbaugh12714 жыл бұрын
@@steve.57 Quite the contrary. If the temple were in the City of David, it would even have a closer historical connection since the City of David is older than the walls of the Temple Mount. Furthermore, if the temple were discovered to be in the City of David, Jews would be able to rebuild the temple immediately. Why would you ask such a thing?
@richflinchbaugh12714 жыл бұрын
@Eilene the Sojourner What is your point? Why couldn't Mount Moriah be just north of the City of David? It is higher than the city and would be closer to the fresh waters of the Gihon Springs. Also, the floor under the Dome of the Rock is not flat as would be required for a threshing floor.

Jerusalem is originally named after a pagan deity called Salem...In Genesis 14 Malchezedeck meets Abraham and he s called the King Of Salem...The Hebrew name for Jerusalem is Yerushaleim..... Yeru, means to make strong and Shaleim ( Shalom in English) is thought to be the name of one of many long lost Middle East pagan deities. The English word Shalom in ancient Hebrew was not a declaration of peace as is thought today but was actually a declaration of war e.g. " You can live in peace if you submit to us, if you don't peacefully submit to us we will kill you". It is thought that Shaleim ( Shalom in English) would have been a deity of the neighbours of Abraham... Back in the day not all the tribes had numerous deities some of the tribes were monotheistic. It seems Shaleim ( Shalom) would have been a type of major creator deity similar to El whom the Israelites worshipped. Before the Jewish god was called YHWH he was known as El... Even Jesus on the cross called god El... All Jewish angels names end in El as that was the name of their god. Even the name Israel ends in El...

The best way to become an atheist is read the Bible critically one time in Hebrew.

Why not read Isaiah 53 critically . Did Hebrews turn you an atheist? What part?

Curious as to why you would post your comment? What is your intent? To discourage people? I studied Hebrew and your comment is simply incorrect. It takes more faith to be an atheist than a believer in Christ. I wish you well.

@@GigiAbbi-cu9qn why don’t you answer the question I posed to you? I suspect it is because your intent is to discourage people and attempt to destroy their faith.
