After Kage died, I went back and looked at all the pictures of us taking a nap on the side of a river bed after we freed a village. I went absolutely BERSERK when he sacrificed himself for me, *takes 5 flaming arrows but keeps running, Kage ran through the night and blizzards, when we finally got away from everyone…. He instantly dropped dead knowing that he died with honour protecting his one best friend. Thank you Kage Thank you

"Yomigaerishi mono yo" Depending on the kanji, it can mean the Yellow Springs, a place in Eastern Asian mythos' that is part of the afterlife. Or, it can be "The resurrected one." Sometimes translated as revenant or wraith (though ayakashi would fit that better). Or, otherwise, a risen spirit of vengeance; a shadow in the dark. A ghost, if you will. At the end, if I am hearing it correctly, she speaks "saraba. wasure ga taki wa nan'ji yasura kani nemure." Saraba is pretty straightforward; it's a form of farewell, goodbye, or otherwise a permanent parting. The rest is a little hazy depending on kanji, but I can give it the good ol' college try. In the second half we see things like "nan'ji" which literally means "what hours," but is usually meant in more of an ephemeral sense, such as "never," or "for however many hours my life may be" or any number of interpretations. Also, I'm pretty sure the gana and kanji used for "wasure" would have to do with forgetting. Of course, "yasura" and "nemure" are often seen together in a lot of media, meaning something like "rest easy" or "sleep well." Now, mind you, part of what the fine people at Sucker Punch did when making this game is consult experts in 1200s Japanese history to also get the grammar, syntax, and general lexicon for that time period correct, meaning that the sentences in Ghost of Tsushima are not structured as they would be for modern Japanese. Since this is the case, I believe that what is being said, especially, knowing the context, is a very poetic way of saying the following: "Farewell my friend. I'll never forget our many hours, so rest well."

I just thought the way they got to killing Joel was kind just plot convenience as well one that goes against Joel’s character too. Meaning not only did they disrespect Joel feeling like he made an impossible decision by saving Ellie but they painted it as a horrible thing he did when it really wasn’t. And his death happens because they forgot to stay consistent with his character so it leads to an inconsistency.

When I got a new horse from Yuna, I deliberately chose to not use the deluxe horse again because I felt it would be a slight to Kage. I chose the white one cause of the snowy landscape and named him Nobu. Somehow his death made me more sad than most sad moments in other games. I never got to take him on that peaceful ride. So I named my horse Kage. I felt that once Jin was critically wounded and his honor died on the beach he literally became a shadow of what he once was. However, once Jin had lost virtually everything including Kage he died once more. Only this time he found the will power to continue on. All he had left was his goal to kill the Khan, free his people. His pain was worth giving his people a sense of hope of a better day. This is why I chose the white horse and named it Sora. Hope from the skys. Angels on our shoulders. It also helps that I got Jins white ghost armor. Idk own head cannon I guess.
