Thank you so much! The relics definitely help, but honestly I think it would've been easier to make the video if Herorius was on another realm - more enemies that way hehe. I do wish alb wasn't so dominant currently, but I've wanted to make a Heretank video for many years - one of my first toons. Glad you enjoyed it :)

Thank you so much! RR definitely helps, but it's not everything. Toejams has some great vids of lower RR toons, and my "Friar for a day" video is of rr4. It does make a particularly big difference on a Heretic though, where PD is so central.

My favorite class to play. I had a nice temp about a year ago at RR6 and nothing could kill me 1v1. High rr SBs like Snowdog couldn't even DPS me down😊

Thank you. Haha, well definitely not flawless play there, didn't help that the champ was BL either. Tbf I don't think they expected the regen near the end, but yeah with a bit of CC there I would've been done for. Think I basically applied enough pressure to cause them to make mistakes, or at least that was the idea.

Also, it's hilarious to me how you obviously used royalty-free music for KZbin, but all these songs are clear rip-offs of other music. For instance the second song is just Refused - New Noise.

Haha, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :) Yeah some of the music is pretty derivative, funny to hear sometimes. It's the best option I've found to avoid having my videos muted or taken down though. Hope you'll enjoy the Heretank if you end up rolling one :)

Thank you! I haven't really played a Reaver, I do think they're better in general though with all the lifetaps and better RAs. But Heretics hold a special place in my heart and are more fun for me.

Use to be one of my favorite classes but wth have happen to the game on live… debuffs and st??? But good vid as allways just with the quality would be atleast 1080p

Thank you. Yes as the game has progressed almost all classes have been buffed (and nerfed) in some way, Heretics received ST and debuffs, still not a class you see very often, and especially not melee spec. 720p is the best I can do currently unfortunately.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by keyboard and mouse settings :) Yeah sadly many left, but there's still enough players to have some fun. BTW, I updated the template slightly to use Mighty Belt of the Vigilant.

Hey mate dunno if your still playing ya heretank but I played one for a long time and I can't help but notice your not running crown of Zahur do me a favour and just test out the mana to health buff. With conversion in template and omni procs etc it makes you unkillable. Once you hit about 50% health it just keeps you there and since tix tank don't really use mana other than debuffs it's a great use of your mana.

It's not even close to what you describe. It simply drains your mana very quickly for very meagre regen, barely slows down damage you take, and only for a short time. The Otherworldly cloak ablative proc charge is much better. It's also way more efficient to run armor with heal+ablative procs than omni procs.

@@umodian I agree and I ran all those procs with 25 healbonus and MoH but when mana is a useless resource mid combat outside of debuffs it's actually quite good. I think your underestimateing charge stacking. You can easily have melemagic charges up OW cloak and Zahur. And it isn't hard to fit in a template with Boons etc. In 1vx situations when U can't kite heal mana is pretty useless

You get way more from having Otherworldly Mighty Eyes which help all your melee hits, have better stats, and can proc heal+ablative. Plus power is always relevant with the snare and debuffs.@@Ethward1

@@umodian yeah I have to disagree with helm only being 5% hit chance and being on the healer dps table the mythical dps is negligible were talking very small numbers of extra damage. Survivability in 1vX fights is more beneficial the longer your lasting to get them into a decent stun so you can burst them with Levi or cobra procs with a heater leggy seems better but each too their own. I know for a fact that with croc ring etc 7% conversion topping your mana up with that /use (as well as boons Mele magic charges etc) I would do your numbers on mighty eyes mythical dps I think you will find it's not as much as you think.

@@Ethward1 Helm is 10% chance to be hit, it's gonna be hit quite a bit, having no procs is a big deal. All my testing is fully stacked, pd9, 10% conversion etc. CoZ simply drains all your power for very little gain. A couple of procs from the Eyes is gonna help as much, it doesn't cost a charge, and it won't drain all your power. Conversion also isn't nearly enough to gain back the power in any reasonable time. And power is very relevant as you often have to spam the snare to get it to stick - it's one of the best abilities Tics have. And mythic dps is not negligible, the anytime can hit for 200+ after a leggy debuff on the melee portion alone, it adds up quickly and it's once again free damage. The stats on the Eyes are also just waay better, which is a big deal. I could go on. I remain extremely skeptical, all my testing does it no favors, and all the other times I've tried this helm on various classes it has been a huge letdown. But tell you what, I'll try it out in rvr. I'm taking a break from it atm though. Either way, thanks for recommending it. I'll let you know if it winds up performing well.

The main items are: -Otherworldly Resilient/hardy/stalwart cloak (for ablative proc). -Curse armor set (makes the instant snare better, and the procs help a lot) -Otherworldly mighty eyes/helm -Bracer of Zo -Max conversion (harbinger gem, midsummer ring, curse vest)

yup 20ish years, but nah not imo.. it feels like they changed the core fighting styles that OG DAoC started. they ruined combat styles, ToA was REALLY cool lands and mobs and raids etc, but the gear was too non-DAoC. made it more gear based, ablative spam in PvP, shit got out of hand.@@umodian

@@umodian once they reworked dual shadows from a frontal bleed to a 2 hit combo, the game was going downhill into this arcade style PvP game. it used to feel like it mattered more to have skill based on your class vs when it was heavily gear based. that ruined it for me. ToA was neat but, the gear and MLs and CLs was over the top regarding PvP balance. made it have a completely different feel. I didn't like it.

I hear ya, ToA definitely wasn't implemented well, but I think a lot of that has been balanced out since. I think the extra abilities and gear now is one area that rewards skillful use and knowledge of the game. I love old dual shadows too, Infs still get that version btw. I think the current iteration of styles require more skill though, it rewards movement a lot more, which is one of the main areas in DAoC where skill really matters and differentiates players. I do like SI and that older period though, but I don't think it could've sustained the game for over 20 years.@@scottybeats5328

Si old frontier whit new RA best settings for this game no question for me. All those new expansion make any char to do anything whitout a party that killed the nature of the game tbh@@umodian
