WRONG. This is a mother cat trying to keep her baby still long enough to GROOM her. I've lived with cats all my life, and I live with five cats now - mama and her four babies. How else do you expect the mother cat to be able to keep the baby still long enough to groom her? They don't have opposable thumbs, so they use a soft grip with their mouth. This is why it is safe for them to pick up and even carry their babies long distances in their mouth - they are not biting down. Believe me, if this mother cat was biting the kitten hard, the baby would have screamed in pain. And those "bunny kicks" do not hurt the kitten at all - again, the kitten would have screamed in pain if it hurt her - they are just to hold the baby long enough to groom her.

The mother isn't abusive, she's not hurting the kitten otherwise he would scream. The other kittens are maybe already left, were ready to leave, this one maybe not and she's still grooming it and trying to stimulate ! i've had cats since I'm teen, and noticed mothers are exhausted after raising several kittens. All this is natural.
