That concert performance was as good if not better than the video! I love MJ’s facial expressions. His smiles are so infectious. You can’t help but smile back! The dancing was beyond epic. Those were some lucky audience members!

This is again playback. But in your video at 2:46 he gives again a sign to his engineer to cut the playback and you can clearly hear that he was singing live. At 3:06 playback is back. Shorty singing live after the chorus. You have to remember he was singing live all the concert. Only at the last 2-3 songs he was singing part playback and part of it live.

@@Snyper1405Actually, he did use playback a bit during the 2nd leg of the tour. It became too exhausting to sing 100% live and dance night after night. But the majority of the shows were still live.

In early 1988 concerts this song was performed completely live. During the ad-libs part you can hear a very gentle playback of the chorus. Than it's getting a bit complicated. ;-) Mid 1988 to 1989 concerts Michael started the song live. He started lip-synching from the first verse "Hey pretty baby ..." to the second pre-chorus "I've never felt so in love before ...". The second chorus "The way you make me feel" and the first interlude "Come on girl ..." are live. The third pre-chorus, third chorus and fourth chorus are lip-synched. The ad-libs before the dance routine are lip-synched. Michael was singing the ad-libs after the dance routine live. (This info is from the YT channel GlenXoseph.)

Michael has learned his profession since his childhood. On top of it all, he and his brothers sang as a group, which means that they all had to sing inhumanly accurately. In the 70s, during recordings, they had to get it right because there was no autotuning. His father demanded the best, so Michael became perfection himself (and I`m sure that also goes for his brothers). When you learn that failing is no option, you either quit (which wasn`t an option) or you technically become unbeatable. That`s why his moves were as perfect as they were - NO room for MISTAKES!

The girl on stage is Sheryl Crow, Michael’s main backup singer. The girl in the video was Tatiana Thumbtzen, and she did appear on stage with Michael for a few shows during the tour.

I think this one might be live. I caught a few "mistakes" like he said satafy instead of satisfied some of the notes were different than the studio version here and there. I know he's perfectly capable of doing this well live and I think this one might be. Other might say different, but this one's kind of a hard call.

The turning point for me was After the interview at his family home i reacted to here on the channel! That is when i came to the conclusion that MJ could have never done the things he was accused of. The man is a child inside! the way he talks and his mannerisms scream child! It's like he was completely stuck as a 9 year old, But not in a childish way if that makes sense!? Most adults he meets i bet he didnt really know how to properly talk to them and had little to nothing in common with them either! But when it comes to kids he understands them and has much more in common! He literally had a theme park and petting zoo on the grounds of his place... That screams kid! Now... IF a normal Adult guy said "Come sleep in my bed" to a kid then theres 99% that that guy has bad intention's with said kid. But when MJ says that he literally means that he is tired and just doesnt want the night to end because he's having fun "As kids do". I seriously used to do this alllllll the time with my friends growing up. We would jump into eachothers beds and play games and such. It's something that kids do. But the media grabbed hold of this and twisted it. Made out that he done stuff :/ I owe a lot to that interview to be honest!

This performance of this song is from a different concert (the night before, july 15th, cause he didn't perform this song on july 16th), you should have reacted to the actual last song (the one before this) haha 😂 it's a great performance tho ❤❤ I gueas this one and the last 2 included in this video were included as a bonus for the DVD or something, but they are from different concerts

He also didn't song the bit at 3:06 and let the audience do it on July 15th (as can be heard in the amateur audio from that night) whereas he does sing the line on July 14th. That's why they edit in playback there before he actually signalled it to come back. You can find a version with amateur audio of July 14th here on KZbin if you search "The Way You Make Me Feel Live July 14th 1988" and compare it to the official upload and you can see how much better it matches.

@@luana45393 They (as in, the michael jackson estate.) literally took the video of the performance from July 14th and then pasted their own audio of the July 15th (the next night) performance on top. I assume they did this because they didn't have any recordings of the july 15th night available when they were making the DVD.

It's a song that I would have performed perfectly live. And at times she does it and his voice sounds excellent. During this tour and previous ones with The Jacksons, MJ demonstrated that he was a great live performer and that, many times, he could sing his songs better than the studio version.

Nooooo Seph you missed the song in between Bad and TWYMMF lol. That song is last of the July 16 concert and TWYMMF is from the July 15 concert, the night before (also at Wembley, he did five concerts in Wembley for the Bad Tour). As I said, TWYMMF was removed from the July 16 setlist because Michael met Princess Diana and Prince Charles before the start of the concert and so the concert was delayed and there was no more time to do it. During the Bad Tour though, TWYMMF was normally performed in between Bad and the last song. So the next song you have to react to is the one before this which is the last one of the July 16 concert.

I've watched MJ for a long time and have gotten good at telling lip sync from live so maybe this will help. From when the first verse starts to the end of the second verse is lip sync. You can see near the end of the second verse where he turns and waves behind him for them to turn his mic back on. This happens during the "promise baby you'll love me for ever more" line. The last two lines of that verse as well as the "everybody sing" is live. Then when the chorus cuts back in again its back to lip sync. Then after the floor dance its live for the rest of the song. The Way You Make me Feel, Bad, Smooth Criminal and Man in the Mirror where the only songs during the bad tour with Lip sync in them, the rest was live. And even the ones with lip sync had some live parts in them. Smooth Criminal for instance was lip synced until the final double chorus, very easy to tell when he's live with the "I don't know" and "Dadgone it baby" parts.

as I know the Bad Tour michael was all live at that time he was not lipsyncing... he sang Smooth Criminal perfectly and Human Nature and many others perfectly live so I think this song was also live singing... you noticed that when he was standing singing after the dance routine with the dancers he was singing live and in his voice, you could feel a little bit that he was singing live. and yeah you know one thing about Michael Jackson he has that ability also he can sing live-like recordings because he has a natural performer natural beautiful voice...you should listen to him recording in the studio song ( Fall Again ) Studio Recording Session (Audio Improved ) and also you try his live rehearsals then you will realize that he can sing live with a perfect natural beautiful voice... and another clip he was recording the song "Childhood" where you can see he was perfectly singing even during his reacordings.

what you hearing is lip-sync mostly. the deal is that he actually singing under playback track, we just dont hear it. his live vocals from mic feed exists somewhere in multitrack recording but unavailable to the fans🙁 MJ actually performed this song and a few others (like Smooth Criminal) completely live in New York concert from same tour

don't know if someone already wrote it down Tatiana (the videogirl) was in the show in the beginning of the tour but dared to kiss him on stage and was fired over that so then Sheryl did her part. She was told multiple times NOT TO. She later wrote a book about it. She was very much in love with him and regretted her mistake all her life. She blamed Frank Dileo for everything though. Not Michael.
