Oh, the full story of Team Meat v PETA is even funnier. After "Super Tofu Boy" was released, Team Meat revealed that PETA'd been had: the "outrage" over Super Meat Boy from PETA's supporters (which led to the creation of the parody game) was actually Team Meat themselves trolling PETA's web forums! They'd straight up tricked PETA into giving their game free publicity, and made PETA look like idiots in the process. One of the big reasons Team Meat hates PETA is because co-creator Tommy Refenes (who now wholly owns the Meat Boy franchise) is a type 1 diabetic. He needs insulin to live and insulin is a product of animal testing; hence according to PETA it shouldn't exist and he should just die.

I think I have a perfect contester for Weakest Character Ever: Aria from Crypt of the Necrodancer. Aria is a spoiler character (Story reasons), so I won't go into any detail other than gameplay... Aria is the weakest of all characters as she is another One Hit Wonder. This time, she is a OHW in a ROGUELIKE, a genre where dying will ruin all progress on whatever chapter you're on. Not only that, but she can't miss a beat. If she does, she will die. Not only that, but she can't pick up ANY weapon at all; she is left with the weak dagger and will die if you start a chapter with another weapon. The worst part about all of this? What makes her the absolute worst part of this fun game? *SHE STARTS AT THE FINAL CHAPTER!* You have to play as her in the hardest of stages WITHOUT MISSING A BEAT OR GETTING HIT! Aria is a character that makes The Lost look like Yiazmat in comparison.

Heck, the Lost can actually be pretty danged good in a few instances. He has the advantages of spectral tears (which, for those who don't know, travel straight through obstacles like rocks to hit your enemies), free Devil Room items (seriously, how many times do you get the opportunity for free spectral Brimstone?), the Holy Mantle after so many donations to the Greed Machine which means one free hit every time he passes through a doorway and free Cursed Rooms provided you don't get hit in them, and for the icing on the cake he flies so holes barring off your free stuff aren't a problem and you can ignore non-Sacrifice Room spikes and creep left by bosses like Mega Fatty.

Here's an even more powerful one-hitpoint wonder: Whoever the heck you play as in SuperHOT. The main gameplay mechanic in SuperHOT is the fact that time only moves when you move, making it much slower-paced than other videogames in its genre. That also makes it possible to dodge the enemy's bullets since they move almost as fast as real bullets. Also, later in the game you gain the ability to "Hotswitch" into an enemy, which has you immediately possess that enemy, although if that enemy had a weapon, you'd immediately throw it. What happens to the body you were in before hotswitching? It dies. And yet, this guy has one hit point. In a first-person shooter. Even one punch to the anywhere kills him. That character would be very scary to encounter in real life (or even in another videogame, even the likes of Kirby or Wario Land 2)

I remember playing a PETA parody of Cooking Mama on Y8.com years ago. I actually thought that was real, since I didn't know about Nintendo at that time. Very weird game. They made Thanksgiving turkey prep look disgusting on purpose. Blood and feathers all around, and Mama looking like a murderous drug addict. Then, after that ordeal, you get a bonus level of making a tofu turkey, with a normal-looking Mama who "loves animals!"

This sorta reminds me, I played super meat boy without knowing there was a sprint button at first. Beating the first boss was absolute hell, and then very quickly by the second world it became impossible to progress. Haven't felt so dumb while playing a game.
