I love this song and video on so many levels. But I will try to keep this as short and sweet as possible. The Weather Girls are amazing singers and actresses and the humor in this video is one of the reasons they have so many fans. In addition, the amazingly talented Gene Anthony Ray (RIP Gene) is simply divine in this video too. Whenever I feel sad and/or in a bad mood, this is one of the videos I always watch to help to lift my spirits:)

As a sad side note, the actor who played Wiggy in this video (Gene Anthony Ray) died only at 41 years old from AIDS complications. It was 2003, a year before Izora died at the age of 62.

There were 2 single released from « Big girls don’t cry » album. Martha on lead with « No one can love you more than me ». Izora on lead with « Well a wiggy ». The first one is much much better and was naturally more successful. I don’t know why Martha didn’t get a video clip to honor her outstanding vocals :/ !
