@@nataliesimox5289 You've GOT to be kidding. There's an entire generation that grew up hearing that version, and there are millions who heard it long before Miss Darwich [born in 1972] came along and covered it in 1987. Not to mention that Tommy James and The Shondells also recorded such other "forgettable" songs as "Crimson and Clover", "Mony Mony", and "Crystal Blue Persuasion". You can find all of those on You Tube, and will most likely recognize every one of them.

1:04 @@RalphCramden-tm2gi I respect your opinion but I disagree, you need stage presence, good vocals etc, I mean there have been lots of covers done over the years,an artist or band bring out the song of the year and then a few years later someone will do a cover of the exact song and it blows,it sounds nothing like the original and it flops so I think there is more than just the song having great lyrics but that's just my opinion

Born Jan 1967. Heard Motown as a youth. Than the English rock groups. Than disco and than the 1980s. Saw Rap and grunge appear. Went from no water bottles and meeting up at the school yard to this device in my hand that tells me everything. But I’m so glad I was in my teens and early 20s during the 1980s. Sad to see the malls are closing. Convince might be a click away. But it destroy time being wasted in the mall with friends.

These 80's club beat/dance pop version of Tiffany are really good, hitting the charts when it was release. However, the orig version of Tommy James and the Shondells are still the best and classic as gold, an oldies song still worth listening to nowadays.

the generation gap has become a chasm because the younger isn't learning from the elder. elders aren't digital natives. youngers are. how do we communicate across that? i don't mean to be a buzzkill when most here are escaping to their feel-good days, but we're in danger of losing things much more important than our pop culture. unless we learn to relate to the younger and see the world through their eyes, and then teach them to relate to us so they can appreciate the world through our eyes, our entire zeitgeist will vanish in a flash and the younger will start from scratch, doomed to repeat our mistakes and relearn the lessons of our history. to be clear, encyclopedic knowledge of history isn't the same as knowing the lessons of history. those lessons can't be transmitted through wikipedia. if you don't believe me, consider american government. senior politicians haven't done much to mentor their replacements, and a lot of them aren't stepping aside to make room for the new dogs. as a result, we have a geriatric government that is out of touch with the people it's supposed to represent, and we have extremism in both parties. the gap between seniors and juniors creates dysfunction within the same party, and the extremism creates dysfunction between opposing parties. frustrations mount and we react by electing someone more extreme than before, either pushing the envelope farther in the same direction or swinging the pendulum to a greater but opposite extreme.

So when she was out with her friends I practiced my first DJ scratching on this album! lol Boy was she pissed!!!! She chased me for 2 blocks b4 giving up. I had to buy her a new album and I still hear about it 20+ years later.

LOVE 80s MUSIC! I was born at just the right time. 1983. By the time all the iconic songs and singers came out in full force, I was a very young child and just taking it all in and gobbling it all up! Tiffany, The Bangles, Heart, Madonna, and so many more female singers were taking the world by storm. Hats off to the 80s men, too!

Tiffany was one of my favourites back in school years, along with The Bangles and Belinda Carlisle. I wish she did some mall shows in Australia in those days. Chappell Roan reminds me of Tiffany in the way her career has just blown up so quicky, even though it took her over ten years. Also the red hair, live shows and fun energy.
