Sheldon immediately loving Amy’s dress was so cute. Sheldon finally understanding Georgie’s struggles during his absence. Mark Hamill making a cameo was such a welcome surprise! Also Sheldon and Amy doing science even on their wedding day is so them. I despise Amy’s mother - she could give Beverly a run for her money. 26:30 someone please caption that reaction I’ve always loved the fact that despite being the more abnormal people in the group, Sheldon and Amy had the most normal wedding.

maybe this is a personal thing, but i always connected sheldon’s vows to the beach boys song he got in his head back in season 9. the words he says here connect with the lyrics a lot more than you would think. “Amy, I usually know exactly what to say, but in this moment, I have no words” (Don’t know if words can say) “Even if I can’t tell you right now how I feel, I will spend the rest of my life showing you how much I love you” (But darlin’, I’ll find a way to let you know what you’ve meant to me) I’m pretty sure it wasn’t intentional, but I’ve always connected these two moment, given how pivotal both these moments were to their relationship

I couldn't wait for this reaction! I was a Shamy fan from the moment Amy was introduced, but for years I wasn't sure if they'd ever get married because they're such an unorthodox couple. That's why I'm so glad they had such a big wedding: I remember this episode aired around the time of the royal wedding and I definitely recall a lot of Big Bang Theory fans saying they were more excited for Sheldon and Amy's wedding lol. I bawled like a baby when I first watched Shamy's wedding, especially when thinking about how emotional their vows are in comparison to how much they act like robots when they first meet. At first I was disappointed that the show went with the easy gag of Amy wearing an ugly wedding dress, but I actually think she looks good during the ceremony. Also, I think it's interesting that Shamy took their relationship very slowly but it took both Leonard and Penny and Sheldon and Amy 8 years to get married after they first met.

I had the same thought. I also wished they gave the same dedication to Leonard and Penny's wedding. Leonard meeting Penny was the big bang that started it all, but i felt the writers didn't put a lot of effort on making their wedding special. Their thunder even got stolen because Sheldon and Amy broke up on their wedding day, so nobody actually watched the wedding ceremony.

Little info: Amy's dad is portrayed by famous and renowned American Magician Raymond Teller famously known as Teller (magician dou's Penn and Teller) they have a show in Vegas called Fool Us where magicians and illusionists come to their show to try and amaze and fool them but they will crack the magic trick... In the magic world, Penn is the talkative one and Teller is the Silent one...which he carries on the show as well....
