This would have to be one of the most apprpriate and best songs to be sung at a wedding. Both, the music and the words are extremely powerful and the way in which Julie Rogers sings it, it is performed filled with emotion and feeling. I have it on her old Album and on CD. I enjoy singing along with her. I have told my Fiance` Melissa, that I will sing this song at our Wedding next July.

I remember this song. It was one of a number in a trend about that time of "reply" songs. You know the kind of thing - Jim Reeves sang "He'll Have to Go", some woman made a record to the same tune saying "He'll Have to Stay". There were a whole slew of them. Skeeter Davis even made a whole album of them called The Reply or The Answer or some such. The odd thing is that the original song that prompted this record seems to have disappeared without a trace. I can't find any reference to it. Unfortunately, I don't know the title or the singer. I had an idea it might be Engelbert Humperdinck, but evidently not. The lyrics went something like (to the same tune as this song): From this day on, I must forget you Wish in a way I'd never met you From this day on you'll have a new love Surely you knew mine was a true love? Here in the church waiting to see you; Your hand in his, that's how I'll see you. And my heart dies when they start singing Ave Maria. Did I just imagine it? Does anybody else remember it?
