WeeCOOK Kitchen in Carnoustie in won the national Scottish Thistle Award for Best Eatery Experience in 2022/23. The category celebrates restaurants and eateries that provide an exceptional customer experience and a quality food and drink offering, promoting local Scottish produce.
Head chef and owner Hayley Wilkes is a former sous chef in Gandolfi Fish. Based at Barry Down park, WeeCOOK Kitchen has built a strong reputation for great food and friendly atmosphere, with particular notoriety for its award-winning pies. Hayley describes winning a Scottish Thistle Award as a “validation” for the hard work of the team at WeeCOOK Kitchen.
