Having USC above Michigan is one thing, but having USC four spots above Michigan in crazy. Also, Tennessee is better than Ole Miss and Miami, as Tennessee has just played tougher teams and have made it look effortless. Tennessee being anywhere below 3 or 4 currently in anyones rankings is ludicrous. They have the number 1 overall defense in the country right now, and a top 2-3 offense. They've now played a better team than teams you have above them, beaten them handedly, and remained statistically the best team. Michigan has literally no pass game. They are clearly worse than Notre Dame and Clemson, and the fact that USC wasn't able to beat a team they probably should have beaten by 10 points shows that they aren't a top 10 team, at least not at this point in the season. Oregon has looked way better than USC. I get that they had a couple games that were much closer than they should be, but every team Oregon has played this season is undefeated other than their game against Oregon. I think theirs a clear top 8 contenders, with Oregon inside it, and USC outside it.

Michigan fan here. Michigan deserves more credit than what most people are giving them. There only loss is to the number 1 team in the country Texas. Texas would probably blow most of the teams in the top 10 out. Michigan beat in my opinion a top 10 team in the country USC and it wasnt a fluke. They ran the ball down USCs throat and I think USCs defense is much more improved in my opinion. Almost 300 rushing yards. Michigan beating USC is a better win than what Ohio State, Oregon, Utah and Mizzou can say. Also No way Mizzou should be that high. They should barely be in the top 15.

As a MIZZOU fan I completely agree. In fact, I wouldn't criticize if they were ranked a couple of spots lower. They looked schizophrenic at best. Brady Cook looks terrified in the pocket (against VANDY!!). One additional thing that I want to point out is that the kicker Blake Craig missed 3 Field goals!!! Sure, Brady Cook looked awful and the play calls were horrendous, and there was plenty more to complain about, but I don't care who you are, if you are unable to count on your kicker you are toast.

Imo, based on who these teams have played, how they've played. 1or 2. Texas (Dominant road win against a ranked power 4 team) 1 or 2. Tennessee (TN two road wins against ranked power 4 teams, one was an SEC team. Texas hasn't done this yet. ) 3. Ohio State (Dominant wins vs nobodies) And OSU's schedule is so easy, they aren't likely to ever fall out of the top 5. 4 UGA (Sorry Miami, UGA dominated Clemson, sure close UK game but they won on the road in the SEC. Imo, UK is a ranked team in the near future. Clemson still is. Miami has not played a ranked team) 5. Alabama (Although Wisconsin wasn't ranked, Bama went there, dominated a power 4 team) 5. Miami (Road win against a bad SEC team, but no ranked wins) 6. Ole Miss (again, haven't played anyone)

I agree with the comment of Ohio State playing “easy non-conference” teams. However, wasn’t Alabama’s first 2 games against “easy non-conference” teams. We all know the Power Five schools play the smaller conference teams for those smaller programs to raise $. One question I have always wondered (if someone knows the answer), why does Alabama always play an “easy non-conference” team in November?? Sorry but beating a bad UF team is not greater than two ranked convincing wins by TN at neutral and a true road win, at night, against an unfamiliar foe. I get it, Miami has a good QB, the lines playing well but son, they haven't played anyone ranked. UF will never be ranked this season so beating them at home is not a hard thing. Many teams will be them in Gainesville this year. Ole Miss hasn't even played a power team. You have to rank them based also on the body of work.
