Gibson's concept is brilliant! Manufacture 50 double neck, 6/12 SG, and charge $50,000 US. The current MSRP is $7999. US for the stock SG 6/12 guitar. Simple division shows that they would need to sell 6.25 of this standard unit. The aging and retiring guitarists are the last ones that know or care about Jimmy Page guitarist. When I see companies selling "investment/collector" grade items I always wonder, who are YOU going to sell it to? What happened to the toy/tool part of guitar ownership?

I had always wanted a 335 but too many other things in the way. I bought a firefly put in a 498T in the bridge and put Steinberger tuners in it and no longer have a serious craving. I play that more than my Les Paul now. Hoping firefly comes out with a 339 knock off.

The Keeley 4-in-1 series does not combine multiple pedal circuits like typical dual overdrives, a Keeley D&M Drive, or a Boss JB-2 Angry Driver. The two pedal circuits are each split in half such that one of the clipping circuits can be combined with one of the tone circuits.

I have pit bull double neck guitar that I put together. I had a guitar tech install some decent pots and pickups and he did the set up (Hello Ian Willis from Katoomba) it plays really nicely and sounds amazing. I think I spent $600 all up. Truth be told, It’s a back breaker. Two songs and I’ve had enough. If you can afford a 50 K guitar and you’re not already a rock god, I’ll bet you can’t play.

P.S. Sure am glad I bought that Memphis-made ES-335 reissue back when I was a teenager and could reasonably decide to spend ALL of my savings. It was listed for 2400US then I got it on sale for 1800. It was supposed to be 50s spec then. I'm still not sure the inflation is natural. According to one of the many inflation calculation sites: "1,800 in 1999 is worth $3,352.86 today" So, can I borrow 86 cents?

Everything is authentic......except for the price. In 1964 was $685.00 and $90.00 for the case. I couldn't find the 1969 price. Total price, guitar and case: $775.00. So the "authentic" price is $49,225 more than the "original" price !!! 🎸🎸💰🤑💰I have expensive taste but a pauper's pocket book.

re: the Keeley pedals, is a 2-in-1 less noisy than 2 pedals? That would be very attractive to me, also, extra pb (pedalboard) space, lighter, one power lead, one pb attachment (RATs are a pita to attach), etc. Those JP dbl-necks will be worth an easy $70k before summer. If the ~equivalent Slash 1275 was $15k, the JP one costs Gibson the same to make, plus JP's much bigger royalty, richly deserved. Carry on JP!

I just received a chibson tribute to this guitar for the low price of $360, delivered in a new case. The case alone would retail for $150-$200+ is my guess. Have not played it…I wish I could afford the real thing but have Brandon to thank for it.

For that price, one would hope for a bit more artist interaction than just the signature and the fact that he touched it. It would still be an obscene price to pay for a modern instrument, but perhaps, some would value it a bit more. Not necessarily getting to meet up with and jam with the man, but something like a few minutes on a video chat (that you retain publishing rights on) or even a general meet & greet/workshop for those 50 blues lawyers to have an unforgettable experience before they hang the thing permanently on a wall. Also, I wonder if they will suspend custom shop production on the existing doubles. You can get what is essentially this guitar without the signature or vintage treatment for about 8k from a dealer. Or still just under 10k for a more faithful representation (still sans signature) on special order.

For folks with means, there are few things to invest in these days (Stock Market, Real Estate etc). So, buying these guitars is a gamble. Customers hope a $50,000 exclusive guitar will bring $100,000 in the future, I hope they're right for their sake. These are not "player" guitars, in my opinion.
