I've been a subscriber from some of your earliest videos, and I couldn't say how much you've inspired me to get back into fighting games, and how much your tips have helped me grow as a fighter. Down heavy Foot Dive and then cancel into S Foot Dive, ground dash to jump to down dash to get close enough for the OTG, hope it helps!

When you the stinger has already started, press atk + special quickly. when the stinger connects. do the teleport!!! actually I know two ways of bold cancel, the other form is comfortable for me but it´s a little harder...... first of all: try this.... hope it helps! Luck for the stylish comboes!!!

To sum it, do your TAC but cancel before it hits with X factor and do it again. If the person mashes the counter it won't work when you cancel due to frames I believe but nonetheless it's unblockable if they mash it before you x factor.

Love your vids, Max. Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but...for Dante, after a hard confirm with Vajra, Hammer, or just jump S, you should probably use Volcano afterwards to reduce damage scaling. Saw it in one of kbkoolio's vids.

This is how you defeat Pheonix who is trying to go dark, it works everytime because most players won't risk and HAS to know you're going to do this. You do your Aerial Combo towards the wall but right when the sound that it's happening sounds, you X factor and do it again. If the person mashes Foward A it won't work when you x factor due to the game mechanics, the only way to prevent it is to not push foward A until they x factor but like I said you have to know htey know this trick.

In ranked games, you can't expect someone to play fair. If you keep falling for beam projectile spam, go practice again and again against it until you can punish it with muscle memory alone. I assure you, this will happen again many times so best to prepare now and reap the benefits later.

Hiya Max - I don't know if they've patched this up yet, but just when the screen flashes for you to tag in someone else during an aerial combo, you can cancel into x-factor and tag out again, potentially wiping out a bar (because aerial counter guesses have a 15-frame pause between each other). I don't know if this is old news or anything. So you can maybe try that out against Phoenixes in the future! Fake a -> tag out with up or down, x-factor, and then -> tag out? Your vids are awesome :D

I have never seen the Matrix, though I have heard the first one is great and the others fall off. My comments and thoughts stem from my knowledge of physiology as a Ph.D. in biochemistry - quite warranted after years of work in my opinion. Though I can agree with you that "clear-mindedness" can have its advantages. Though drugs are just a different form of mind alteration, similarly to working out and releasing adrenaline. you may say that people who work out for an adrenaline rush are addicted

Hey Max, I was wonder about your play style: Why don't you use Aerial Combos? I saw you try in the last video and it got snuffed, but they do extend combos and bring in your next char very safely and does big damage if they can hit OTG into Hyper. Easy example: Dante > Aerial Tag > Zero's Tower of Power Hyper(Srry, forgot the actual name ^^;). Often, if the combo was extended right, that'll lead to a One Combo KO.

Max is at 2nd Lord. The ranks higher than that I believe are, 1st Lord, High Lord, Master Lord, Mighty Lord, and finally Cosmic Lord.

Nice silence on the whole Shuma thing in that 1 msg I know you've made me better and I'm learning by watching and I'm learning things too. Examples: Spend meter if it means you'll be able to kill a character No victory is too cheap Snap back in the midst of combos and not on their own. Beware certain characters with Level 3 X-factor, like your Strider

One of my fave teams to use is trish dante strider :3 Although in my opinion his dante combos could have been less flash and more substance.

You can probably land down air exchanges against Phoenix teams all day if you want meter to fight DP. I wonder if even very skilled opponents would guess that you were doing that and try to counter you, risking the loss of meter if they were wrong?

Max, as a Morrigan player i would be very happy if you did an Assist Me on her. But if you do, you should make her costume her DLC so that she will be covered up and people wont be staring at her as much. COME ON PEOPLE HAVE SOME DECENCY FOR HER!!

For X23....Good Assists...Hmm... I would recommend Deadpool and someone with a beam assist. ( Dr. Doom, Magneto, etc.) For she can get in properly.

Try using Tron. She's a surprisingly good Anchor if you can get the opponent to the Corner. Swept a whole team with Lv. 3 X-factor Tron. before. :)

new Darkstalkers?! Thats news to me, but I may give it a try since I started using Hsien-Ko in UMVC3. Also it was wierd seeing someone use Thor, I barely see him. And to those asking Max to use other characters, Max has to cover alot of fighting games at the moment, he can't spend the time mastering new characters in this game because of that. If you've seen his Soul Calibur vids he only ever plays as about 2 or 3 different guys because he doesn't have the time.

Knowledge of physiology and Ph.D.'s offer a peripheral level of insight on drugs at best. Producing something naturally through exercise is VERY different from putting something INTO your body for a desired effect. I think the original comment that sparked this debate wasn't referring to meds for pain relief, but the use of chemicals to alter your mind.

Hey Max, if you're looking for a new character to get in to in Skullgirls, try Painwheel. Sure she's creepy, but she has all these awesome flight cancels that you might get in to easily from your Marvel experience. Or Valentine, super fast ninja character that you might like because you like Strider.

Watching these videos, and reading some of the comments, I just thought of an evil team. Hsien-Ko on point with her Senpu Bu assist, Ghost Rider, and Hawkeye. Get Hsien-Ko into hyper armor mode as fast as possible, tag in GR, and then keep away madness go. Hawkeye has his triple arrow assist. Ye gods.

To the people wanting Max to change teams next episodes, I'm sorry, when you have a channel that gives very good advice on fighting games and shooters, and have a very funny parody tutorial using characters from fighting games as part of the cast, THEN, you can change the team all you want. Until then, let the man use any team he wants, even if it's his same one. Everytime Max talks about his childhood, I keep thinking of a kid with Max's hair, face, and voice, yelling YO VIDEOGAMES!
