So, I had the same issue with my mini fridge in my classroom. It had something to do with the school lowering the heat on the weekends/HVAC system, and it would cause a surge that would make the soda freeze and then thaw. It only really affected carbonated things. So now in the morning I pop a diet coke in the fridge for the end of the day, but never leave one overnight or through the weekend. Hope that helps!

For your verb battleship, laminate everything and use two boards per student: one for their ships and one for their opponent (to put check marks). Place everything in a document folder (for legal size paper) so each students can use it to hide their game! They can put their board in "front" of them and they can write where their opponent hit them them on the board that is place on their desk/table/knees! Just an idea!! 👍🏻😉

Your boot camp lessons were really great! I love engaging lessons the keep students motivated to learn. My teaching style is learn by doing and relating lessons to real life concepts. Continue being the teacher you are regardless of what others think. Teaching is an art and science and your style is a good combination of both. Love watching your videos!

I have basically the same filing system you do as far as 31 folders for the month and then rotate them. Totally keeps me organized.

I use the 43 filing system as well...such a wonderful idea-Thank you, but I see that you also use the M-F stacked drawers with file at the bottom. How do you use the drawer system in conjunction with the 43 system?

I feel so bad your camera died on you. I was so excited to hear about your boot camp idea. It really got me thinking. My son and daughter-in-law are both in the Air Force, I asked her if he had a uniform she is no longer using, She said, "Yes!" The best part is that it has my last name on it, and I'll even get to wear her boots. I am so excited. Now I have to plan everything. Can your packet be adapted for 2nd grade?
