Mtjproducer thats exactly the problem with TG. His covers are amaaaaazing, love them to death. His own work (albums) are least to say, lackluster. Its such a shame because he can sing very well. Hope he finds a good song writer in the future and not writing his own songs. Example: go listen to curving everybody. Its really bad lyrics.

Sapphire i have listened to his first mixtape way back in 2012, his secons mixtape snd his debut album. Heck i go aaall the way bacl to NLT. I like TG as an artist dont get me wrong. Im not saying his own work is bad but its not good either. Im afraid he will never be on JT or JB and even CB level. He knows it, Danja knew it a few years ago and so on. I wish the guy the best and hope 1 day he will blow up. But his singing needs to mature besides the covers ofc.

Y FF I respect your opinions. I wasn't sure if you had listened to the same works I did but glad you had listened and given thought to them. I personally love his own stuff equally as his covers, if not more. His debut album notably; it's smooth and sensual without it seeming like he has to put effort into it at all. It just flows out of him, his voice and musicality.
