A bunch of them did because they were told to and they also knew that their transcripts were being doctored.

Many dropped out of the colleges when they realized they could not meet the demands of college. Also many colleges ended up rejecting them since the school was not accredited and students technically did not graduate a recognized high school curricula that many colleges require. Basically no highschool diploma or even GED
