It makes me cry/ tear up. It makes me feel really sad. Maybe cuz I relate... It feels like bearing your heart to someone you love in the past, only to be let down. You end up blaming and hating urself, but realize you need to pick urself up, pickup the pieces, and try your best to keep living, doing ur best instead of blaming yourself why you weren't enough for them. You move on and learn it's you who needs to love yourself, not looking for it elsewhere. It's recollecting with yourself who you once blamed, hated, and abandoned. to now come back to and realize you were all you needed, to opologize to yourself, learn to accept and embrace your flaws and others, and slowly learn to forgive, love, and take care of yourself again. so you can attract whats right for you. and spread love to others.

Abel is such a creative genius. I remember looking at the cover art for Dawn FM and not liking it but then I realized that Abel has an artistic way of depicting every album that he makes. The Weeknd put an older version of himself because the album is his picture of Dorian Gray. It starts out as a way to hide his sins but becomes a place to accept and move on from them. Like Dorian, Abel tries to kill the older version of himself, the After Hours Abel at one last attempt to hold on to his celebrity fame and social status forever. Dawn is the effects of him being in this purgatory state and being in the darkness and Dawn FM is this radio station that brings that darkness into the light. His journey from the After Hours of the night to the light of the Dawn.

Listen to starboy if you want to keep being happier, BBTM if you want to cry tears of joy, After Hours and Kiss Land if you wanna go on a tripping journey of both happy and sad, and MDM/Trilogy if you want to be completely messed up and sad in the end

I’ve heard a lot of people refer to this song as upbeat, which surprises me. Yes, there is a catchy beat and chorus, but I see it as more of a sentimental song. The deep lyrics, mesmerizing synths, and subtly haunting ambiences give it a sad and regretful vibe. This song touches my heart in addition to being one of his most masterful works yet.

Amazing song, yesterday I was in the weeknd concert in Peru and honestly it was totally amazing what happened when he started singing this song, I could see many people crying and I really felt that pain for letting go to someone you love , but that person doesn't want to stay , I know it's so painful and hard, but many people were singing this song with the heart y sould. It was an unforgettable experience , what the music can provoke in the people not only evoke feelings , I think that it's so magical what Abel does with his music and yesterday I could see it.

This is probably one of his most tragic songs yet. This idea that you want to change but your held back by your own mind. People leaving you left and right because they cant watch the spiral. The acception of the idea you cant change and the resulting collapse of self image is just as accurate as it is sad. The music fading away combined with the final verse is just pure meloncholy. It feels like this song ends with a crossroad to lay there and perish or to let go of the thought or person you are in hopes of distant but bright future
@Sal_car882 жыл бұрын
This. I suffer from some pretty bad anxiety. The people I love the most are always the ones more affected by it. As mush as I want to change it, I can't. It's a constant fight in my head that they just can't understand. I feel so lonely even when I'm with others. I'll always be less than zero. They try their best with me, I know.
