He never “fell off”. However, his sound definitely changed with a few songs in BBTM and then it changed completely in Starboy, both albums containing pop music influence, which was never his original sound. This is a fact, but that doesn’t mean the albums were bad. This EP just has more dark and depressive influence that’s reminiscent of trilogy
