@@quiteslayer4067 If you think about it further though, you really can't kill a stone. You can turn it into smaller bits of stone, maybe even quite a bit smaller, but that's not 'killing' it. The angels don't really seem to mind one way or the other and it's said to be their perfect evolutionary defense, so I doubt something as simple as pulverization would have any effect on them. For al we know breaking their stone bodies into tiny pieces just gives their 'real' bodies more spots to respawn in from once they stop being looked at.

My favourite thing about the weeping angels is how the only way to beat them is to outsmart them, as a lot of the times we see them beaten it's because they were tricked or trapped. Definitely one of the most unique creatures in the show, and the more we learn about them the scarier they get. I wonder if we can see a compilation of the many ways the doctor and their friends have beaten them? I remember during the siege of trenzalore episodes it's implied that the doctor used a mirror to trap a weeping angel by making it perceive itself?

As usual on Who, the writing can be patchy and some episodes play out like they picked the alien by lottery. The silent assasins start ripping out peoples spines rather than zapping them through time to feed on their time energy. It's like a lion hanging people rather than devouring them.

Alex Kingston said she had been told by Moffat over a year prior what River's and Amy's relationship actually was -- it was Karen/Arthur/Matt who were kept in the dark until S-6, being genuinely surprised when reading "x" during the run-throughs. Alex kept the secret to herself for over a year with Moffat having told her it so as to inform how she approached certain scenes from an acting/delivery POV.

Okay, woah woah woah, wait wait wait wait wait. I just watched the episode where the Doctor meets the Devil - an ancient beast from before the beginning of the universe or after or during, doesn't matter - that's the quote. Defeated and imprisoned by an unknown force. And the Angels, nobody knows where they're from - but they're angels. No matter what statues they inhabit or become or whatever - they're always angels. Always angels. So, here's my standing theory: Whatever imprisoned the Devil either utilised, impacted, or became the Weeping Angels. That's why they have such a unique relationship with time, being able to "eat" it, and that's why they're angels.

They are without question the scariest things ever to appear on Doctor Who by a long way. In a dimension of their own. Quite epically inspired. Ultimate nightmare fodder. Blink and you are gone. I mean...

I swear Moffat when he first saw the burning Weeping Angel must've though "Damn! Why didn't I think of that!" xD

The Weeping Angels are my favorite "villains" ever. I love the concept. Some innocent and good looking statues that can and will (try to) kill you as soon as you turn away from them. After blink I spent quite some time being very cautious when going to pay my respect to my elders at the cemetary. Way too many potential Weeping Angels all around the place. :D

Ngl when i first saw Blink as a kid, it unlocked a fear in me that has lasted for years. I was terrified of statues. 😂

Even on the LEGO DIMENSIONS (DOCTOR WHO LEVELS) part of the game, the Weeping Angels are nerve wracking.

I got hooked on Doctor Who from the episode Blink. I love how everyone uses a sledgehammer to instantly render them useless when they are statues. Oh wait. I guess the writers aren’t very bright. That’s what I would do if there were a statue in front of me that would attack when I looked away. I do love the show but, that’s very stupid of them to not think of that.

The angels should have been a one and done enemy. They slowly made them less scary with every appearance.

25:55 the real reason he shaved was because Matt had to shave his head for his role in a movie prior to this episode. Funny that they gave a silly in universe reason. 😂
