I recently visited Sweden and my favorite words were fika and lagom... fika is amazing and lagom just the nicest thing around the globe. There’s another one Swedes thought me about but I don’t remember exactly how it is, I just remember a bunny with a clock that tells just sleep time and eating time ... was super cute.

"Klockren" is from "klockren ton", litterary "clean bell pitch". A clear Pitch from a bell when you strike it, like a church bell. Meaning perfect. (Jämför rena kläder, rasren hund)

The word "Klockren" originiates from the two words "Klocka" and "Ren". In this case, "klocka" means "bell" and "ren" means "clear". So: "klockren" means as clear as the sound of a bell (pretty much). Makes a little more sense, I guess.

I can see the similarities between most of the Swedish words and their English counterparts. Interestingly I can see even greater similarities with Scots: "bra" - "good". The pronunciation sounds very similar to the Scots word "braw", meaning "fine", "good" or "pleasing". "barn" - "child". Similar to the Scots word for child - "bairn".

We have the same thing with grandparents in Turkish where your grandmother is either "anneanne", which means mum's mum and "babaanne" which means dad's mum. The word for granddad is the same on both sides however, but the words for auntie and uncle are different on both sides. Another weird thing is that aunt and uncle is different if they are married to your aunt or uncle, and the words for brother-in-law and sister-in-law are different depending on if they're married to your sibling or if you are their partner's sibling. Turkish is weird.
