Less than two hours in, but I have to comment. - Dom is scaring the CRAP out of me as Linus. Dom is a genius and I wants Chaotic Neutral Call of Cthulhu forever please. - Laurie has done an amazing job with both this channel and NRB, Laurie you're brilliant and play the most engaging characters (except Ivan Brett from the Traitors, that character was just unpleasant in every way lol) - Tilly and Sullivan are both amazing improvisers and I hope they'll always be at the table. It's fantastic how these CoC episodes can be so silly and terrifying at the same time, so well done! - Dan playing the honest version of Harold Hill is fantastic. Mr. Mount really DOESN'T know the territory! More Dan on Chaotic Neutral, please! - You guys should all be proud and I'm happy to be a patron 💜

There's also an HP Lovecraft mini series about a Dreamer who finds a Silver Key, which unlocks travel through space, time, and dreams. Probably a combination of the two, as anything that unlocks those means of travel is a manifestation of Yog Sothoth himself.

@@ptprojektred CoC has been around for over 40 years and 7 editions. Official published settings include the default 1920s Lovecraft Country - with dedicated sourcebooks for traditional towns locations of Arkham, Innsmouth, Kingsport & Dunwich. Big hitters for distinctly different settings include: Medieval England (Cthulhu Dark Ages) Late 1800s Wild West ("Down Darker Trails"), featured in this video 1810s Regency-era England (Regency Cthulhu) 1920s Harlem (Harlem Unbound) 1920s Berlin (Berlin - The Wicked City) 1920s Australia (Terror Australis) 1930s America (default for Pulp Cthulhu) Other less prominent/out of print settings include: The Dreamlands (H.P Lovecraft's Dreamlands) 1920's Cairo (The Cairo Guidebook) 1950s America ("Atomic-Age Cthulhu") 1980's America (Cthulhu Now - funny, because it was intended as a sourcebook for modern Cthulhu stories, but it released in the late 80s :P ) A series of older sourcebooks ("Secrets of ___") for alternative 1920's locales, namely New Orleans, New York, Los Angeles, Kenya, Morocco and Tibet. Victorian England is covered in "Cthulhu by Gaslight", most notably featured in Dom's "Yellow Sign of the Four" game. Although now out of print, this is one to watch out for, as a new edition is rumoured to be in the pipeline. Imperial Rome ("Cthulhu Invictus") is covered in "Cthulhu Through the Ages" amongst others, and has a popular following with a lot of third party scenarios. Lastly - and although this is by no means an exhaustive list - I have to give a shoutout to Delta Green, originally an unofficial, third party sourcebook using a tweaked version of CoC's system, which has evolved into its own distinct RPG. This is now an alternate take on the Cthulhu mythos investigative horror RPG genre, and typically takes place in a modern setting, but can be used in America from the 1930s to now. I don't know exactly what resources Dom used for his "Y-files" game, but I'd actually be pretty surprised if he didn't draw inspiration from Delta Green, which is steeped in the whole conspiratorial, rogue government agency investigating small-town America type genre, like the X-files. If that kind of thing interests you, there's a huge Delta Green Humble Bundle available right now.

The cast's acting chops show here, because just like Brits can spot bad UK accents, the same goes in reverse here on the other side of the pond. We Yanks can tell when someone's hitting our rhotic "r" weirdly. It's a huge tell. And accent-wise, every player here except one passes muster. Though, imo, Dan's Music Man references more than make up for it, and the Transatlantic accent is its own beast anyway.
