I believe that the light is coming from the avatar, not science.as weve seen in this video there was a lot of beys glowing and using their special moves. I believe that the glow resembles the resonance with the blader.when the avatar uses his special move the avatar picks a part of the beyblade to strike, to counter,to defend, and to accelerate. For example when brave valkyrie uses brave sword the valkrie avatar releases a ton of energy on three of its blades, giving it more strength.remember beyblade dad not everything has to be scientific, well at least fantasy.

The best option is leds. Friction would mean most bladers have super human strength which we know isn't the case. The leds are most likely voice activated by the special move

what is the launchers in the anime are WAY more OP than in real life? considering the fact that in the anime kids can go head to head with actual adults and win easily, i think it would probably be more gear multiplication in the launchers tho (like the db launcher)

However for it to create enough force the gears would have to be top tier and cost hundreds of dollars. Along with having some kind of futuristic tech inside the launcher. However this theory works slightly better in mfb do to thr asteroids and all the bey spirit stuff.

I feel it is just a metaphor for what the bey is about to attack with, almost like the anime Demon slayer. In the Demon slayer manga, it stated that the Flames, waves, electricity, etc. are not actually there but is just energy. This seems likely since special moves can only be done with high speed, when the beys have high kinetic energy. (you can see this in the last battle in god between free and silas, where moves cannot be done with low spin)

I'm not sure it is a metaphor. While in the opening ceremony for the Beyblade legends festival, Hyuga was able to use his special. Even bringing forth the avatar, just to win the match vs Valt, Aiger and Free. His bey was clearly glowing... There not glowing, it's the beyblades power the IQ the bladers in the show have these flames all around the body that's called a qi it's a connection between the blader and the bey.

I can imagine their qi is what would cause a resonance through their connection to the Beyblade, although I'd argue that they *would* be glowing, it's pretty clear during special moves IMO

LHC animation, resonance explained nicely, and vibration simatic images based on actually science on how even our voice can create very cool effects to our reality. Like sound in water. Maybe it's also why the characters shout and even open their hearts, which also vibrates with a resonance, to their beys to display awesome powers through Avatars. Wow this is cool. They don’t acutally have special moves. Because we can recreate them in real life and with the metal fight series you could not replicate most special moves. Plus they never call them special moves eather so that answers it’s self

Parts of the special moves on burst and some on metal fight refered to the gimmicks actually taking action directly on the battle since the move ir gimmicks mostly acts indirectly, by mere eye it's not noticible due to the high rpm rate so you'll need a camara to see it

But also there move which corresponds with there gimmicks also makes doesn’t make it a special move because as we saw in metal fight there special moves were acutally something you could not recreate or had anything to do with a gimmick for example the star blast attack it was a dive special move and none of its gimmicks were used

@@PrinceMeliodas actually gimmick in mfb were the moves, if you see 4d or from metal masters part of the moves were related to the ability the bey had, like kerbecks and the mode change that one gave it a perfect defense and the other one gave it an explosive power, Orion mode change and infinite spin came from gimmicks those are the abilities, if you expect an ability for the bey is to fly even tho none of them is to fly, that's just mere animation

Here's my input. In the metal sage of beyblade they referred to their finishers as special moves. Meanwhile in burst, they call out the move without needing to say special move to indicate that it was a finishing move. That's explains itself because you the viewer know that when you hear the character say a move that they will likely say once in battle then you know what's about to happen. Also, to say that because we can recreate the special move in real life doesn't make it special is not true. I say this because we as the audience want to pull off said special move so that we can feel like we're in that character's shoes. That's the reason why they make beyblade that can perform the same maneuvers so that kids will enjoy playing with the beyblade even more. What makes the character's special moves "special" is because no other character will be able to recreate their special moves. And if someone manages to recreate their special moves than its a rare instance or they have acquired the necessary parts that will allow their beys to perform the exact same maneuvers and possess similar attributes. This happens in shogun steel when Pegasus is stolen and it's performance tip and warrior wheel are added to buhamut to increase its speed and overall attack power. And in Burst Turbo, Phi merges Phoenix with shattered fragments of Hades to create a more powerful bey. In its fight with shu it preformed hades' special move: dread gravity using its own new special move: dread canon as its starter.
