Water runs from the rear to a secondary bottle under the bonnet. Reason its in the boot is the bonnet can warp if you man handle it so they out it in the boot to lower the chances of people knacking the bonnet.

I had that same noise with my F-Type! Pretty sure it was a wet/damp/cold belt as well and went away after a bit of driving! I also had the same issue with the lights. I could barely drive the car at night, but thought I was just going blind! Great video!

@@tootalltodrive Had exactly the same squealing noise when it was cold and wet last month. I've booked it in to be looked at in February but typically with the warmer weather it seems to have stopped. Looking at forums, theres a lot of chat about Supercharger pulleys? With headlights, there are some adjustment screws behind the lights in the engine bay, mine seemed to be directed straight at the floor, so gave them half a turn and they seem much better now!

Not sure what year JLR added this spec, but at least as of the 2020 model year F-types feature "AFS," standing for Adaptive Front Lighting System. The owner's manual for my '20 F-type P300 convertible says: > I definitely appreciate this AFS feature when driving dark twisty stretches in the hills were I live, when the adaptive LEDs throw a longer, brighter, more focused beam at higher speeds. But it seems to me unlikely that model years not equipped with AFS from the factory could have those features retrofitted, though it wouldn't hurt to ask when you seek service for your problems. BTW, for those who'd scoff that the 2.0-liter, 4-pot P300 F-types don't cut it (versus 6- and 8-cylinder versions), I can report complete satisfaction with the 296hp/295lb-ft torque that mine generates (spec'd by JLR to do 0-60mph in 5.6 seconds), with 30mpg highway fuel efficiency. What's more, the P300s' lighter weight upfront yields more nimble cornering/handling than more powerful F-types. And it'll still deliver those oddly admired "burbles and pops" from overrun on shifts, when you get on throttle (though admittedly the roar is more subdued than with higher-HP F-types). My BRGreen F-type had only 2,800 miles on the clock when I bought it as a lease return (at a lovely discount) and it still has several years remaining on its CPO warranty, including monthly GPS map updates, free annual maintenance, and complimentary roadside assistance (unneeded so far). In the U.S., the 2020 model year was the next-to-last to offer the P300 version and the last boasting Ian Callum's original design (vs. the often-reviled "facelift" revision from 2021 on, with narrow, horizontal headlights that now resemble so many other cars, including newer Mustangs. And sundry "issues" reported with F-types in prior years seem to have been sorted by 2020 so I'm loving mine, which has been a blast to drive and trouble-free.

It’s you’re super charger coupling, the spring is worn so the rotors squeak at low rpm, mine had the same problem the reason it stops when you rev it is coz it stabilises at higher rotor rpm

5:01 is the rain sensor. Rain on the glass changes the index of refraction so the light is no longer totally reflected inside the glass and escapes, causing the sensor to trigger and the wipers to wipe.

If it's been lowered, there's nothing wrong with the lights. Adaptive lights have a preset default and it's based on the factory ride height. I learned this in my GTI. I had to go into OBD11 and readjust them. Not sure the process on F Types though...

I have had 2 XKRs. I love them. But the lights being pointed low is a definite issue. My GF's lights in her Hyundai are higher and brighter than mine. I'm going to upgrade the bulbs to brighter and whiter ones. My lights are, however, adaptive, which I really appreciate because I live in an area with a lot of dark country roads, so the ability to see around the many corners is very valuable to me.
