In my opinion Joe is the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man of Blues Clues. Steve is Toby Maguire, and Josh is Tom Holland

The funniest thing about Lazytown is that Robbie putting all that effort into stopping everyone is such a non-lazy thing to do. Trying to stop them literally has him being more active than he was before. It's so ironic and funny.

I think that's a big reason why Sportacus never fully stopped Robbie from what he was doing. The plans he made to ruin their activity were never too much for Sportacus and the kids to handle, and it got Robbie out of the house for the first time in years. Makes sense that a guy obsessed with exercise would think of that first.

Honestly Swiper was one of my favorite characters from this show. In the first season. He is more an obstacle. But in later seasons starting in season 2. We see he’s not really a bad guy. Just a child who doesn’t know better. And starting in season 3. We see a more soft side to him. And season 4? Oh my gosh! If you remember season 4! He has a lot of appearances! One of my favorites being Dora’s dance to the rescue! That special was amazing! And of course can’t forget Dora’s world adventure! Where Dora admits she’s always seen Swiper as her friend. Which yeah. Wholesome cuteness overload!!!

You know, with Little Bill, it's kind of interesting to see that the show didn't portray Bill in a flattering light all the time. It depicted him as being... like a child. He did mean things, he took things too far, he said insensitive things, he got mad when things went wrong even when he didn't mean to cause trouble.... kinda like a kid. It's kind of a contrast to the actual Bill Cosby whose characters were 98% "positive discrimination".

David Attenborough's been real quiet since Go Diego Go dropped. And music truly is a powerful thing, as shown with The Backyardigans and Lazy Town. So Lazy Town was based off a series of plays called Áfram Latibær! (itself adapted from a book that Scheving wrote in 1991) and Glanni Glæpur í Latabæ. Originally in the plays, the characters weren't puppets, but they started using puppets in 1999. Julianna only played her in seasons one and two. While Chloe Lang played her in seasons three and four. And in the pilot, she was played by Shelby Young (who's Leia in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga). In the UK, they didn't have Steve nor Joe! Instead, they had Kevin who's Cameroonian! I think Steve was such a good host because he never felt like he was talking down to the kids. Kids know when they’re being talked down to and shows that don’t do that tend to be more successful. Same reason I couldn’t stand Dora, all she ever did was talk down

Yeah, he also got his own reboot series--which....didn't get very far. 3. In that show with Dora as a teenager? Believe it or not that's actually not Diego. That's her new friend Pablo. But considering that the two characters look almost identical? I can't blame you for not knowing. ;) 4. Alright confession time about my childhood experience with Nick Jr. -Steve was one of my earliest celebrity crushes at the small age of 6. -I always thought Franklin was the 5th ninja turtle. -Ive always been a fan of Olivia with her kickass theme song. Peppa can suck it. -I always thought Blue was male, turns out she's the lesbian lover of Magenta. -I always get Joe confused for Josh Peck. -I get Stephanie (Lazy Town) crazy confused with Lavagirl, Beauty from Bo Bo Bo and Amy Rose. To this day, I still think shes cosplaying as Amy.

Grey Griffin/DeLisle also voiced Azula around the time Wubbzy aired...so you could say Wubbzy was wholesome during the day, firebending destroyer at night on the same network. Bro, kid me was scared of Face. I kept calling him the "Nick Jr monster" because I kept getting nightmares about him (so when I realized they got rid of him for Piper, boy was I glad). Then my mom discovered Noggin for me, and I'm so glad she did because Moose A. Moose and Zee are so wholesome. And it had unique shows made just for Noggin like The Upside Down Show, Oobi, and Jack's Big Music Show. And of course, there's The N for older kids which got Americans hooked on Degrassi. Another thing about the Gullah: Their culture became what it is today because of a period of relative isolation from whites while working on large plantations in rural areas. The Africans, who came from both Central and West Africa, developed a creole culture that has preserved much of their African linguistic and cultural heritage from various peoples. And binyah means someone who is native to the Gullah community, as in someone who's been there a long time...a "been-yah".

A few other things I liked about the Backyardigans: • The fact that along with each episode having a different kind of imagination adventure, they also have different kinds of music genres for each episode! I had wondered why my mom liked the music in the very first episode in particular until I found out that the music was regae (forgot how it's spelled. Sorry ^ ^'), and it made much more sense since my mom was into that music genre! • Pablo panicking. They're not as available in the seasons after the first one, but they are there, and they're great everytime! Not only were they pretty funny, but I'd say that they're probably the parts where it sort of reminds you that they're just a bunch of kids playing together. Like, even though they're aware that it is just a game, a problem can arise in said game that gets Pablo genuinely worried hence him panicking. Oh, and sometimes it isn't even him panicking and is actually him being excited over something! But whether it be from worry or from excitment, they both end up the same way: he gets so caught up in that moment that it's all he could think about until his friends help him get back to it. Oh, and the others' ways of reacting to them is interesting too! Since they're kids, they obviously don't know exactly why he thinks that something in a game they're playing gets him this worried or excited, so there are some times where they do show some annoyance to it. However, they never actually get mad at him for it and instead, after he calms down, they find a way to get out of the pretend situation they're in! Sometimes, they even add the play names in (Like in the episode "Eureka!"), but for the most part, they just say his name straight up • Since it's a show about kids using their imaginations, they can also get away with making the kids animals while also showing or mentioning humans throughout the show! Since they are just human children who are most likely also imagining themselves as animals, with Tyrone going a step further by mentioning he's a moose and even mentioning antlers (since I'm almost certain he's the only one who's ever had his animal name said). The others just join in on him saying that!

9:14 As someone who watched both Little Bear and Franklin, I can point out plenty of differences. The biggest difference is that Franklin's world doesn't have (or at least, doesn't show) humans, while Little Bear had humans and a regularly appearing human girl character that you can even see in one of the clips here. Thus, the two worlds are different, with Little Bear being a much smaller community as the world outside is full of humans, while Franklin's world could be as big as ours with talking, bipedal animals being the main or sole race.

Gonna be honest, Little Bear was my favorite show when I was a toddler, and I haven’t seen any other piece of media replicate the vibe it had. It exists in a separate but parallel world to our own. There’s no hate between people, only love for your fellow living creatures. There’s still practically an entire unoccupied continent to explore in the late 1800s/early 1900s setting, the world is vibrant yet familiar and cozy. There’s an entire world out there to explore and be the first to discover if you want to, with almost no danger to exploring (almost, I saw the movie). Your biggest medical concern is spending like a day with a sore throat due to the mumps (I guess it’s mild in this universe). The soundtrack draws out both feelings of nostalgia and coziness. Ultimately it’s relatable for all ages because of lot of episodes mostly center around Little Bear and his friends having good times doing stupid stuff in the woods, something that is universal to all age groups. I wish there were more shows like it (no Franklin doesn’t count) Also the Little Beat universe has *MUSICAL GHOST RACOONS THAT SNEAK INTO YOUR HOUSE ON STORMY NIGHTS THROUGH THE CHIMNEY AND COBBLE TOGETHER INSTRUMENTS OUT OF RANDOM CRAP YOU HAVE LAYING AROUND TO PLAY MUSIC WITH*

I watched Blues clues in the beginning, the day Steve left was basically the day I stopped watching. I didn't take it seriously at first, thinking it was just a plot point for the episode. I'll admit, I shed a tear when you played that scene with him leaving, and him returning saying that he remembers us and were still friends til this day.

Steve had an appearance in the 100 (or 200th?) episode special, had occasional appearances and Blues Clues & You, AND the recent movie. I don't know why people think just left forever.

I remember Nick Jr would always air every single cartoon they owned back in the day, even if it was long cancelled, they stopped doing that after 2016 or so :(

Same. I remember waking up early in the morning (like around 3 or 4 am) pretty often during my preschool and elementary school years and would usually watch some TV before going back to bed when my insomniac body felt like it. Oftentimes, I would watch some reruns of old Nick Jr shows during the time I was awake.

...i actually watched Dino Dan... and enjoyed it a lot. Also, does anybody remember Bubble Guppies? Man i loved that show, even if it's very simple and formulaic, i still really loved it either way, heck they have made a bunch of specials that stray away from the usual formula of the show. I remember that i when i was a child, i loved shipping characters of my favorite tv shows, mostly when i was 9, and i shipped some of the characters of that show... i don't really anything else to say, than, it is enjoyable to watch at least... two episodes of sorts, since it can be sorta overwhelming with its formula- and its music

For those who didn't know, the reason why we hardly hear Max actually speak in every episode of Max and Ruby is because Max is near non-verbal autistic.

7:41 I think Franklin was more grounded in reality than Little Bear was. It was more slice of life, while it had a storybook forest setting, it was obvious the characters lived in the present day, and Franklin would go to school and have to deal with everyday problems, such as getting scammed by a comic book ad and accidently ruining a library book and having to tell the truth about it. Little Bear, on the other hand, was more fantasy. It obviously took place in the Victorian era, and had mermaids and goblins and other mythical creatures in it There were no realistic conflicts in it, just Little Bear having fun adventures. Little Bear wasn't designed to be relatable like Franklin was.

My mother used to record Nick Jr. shows for my sister and I on VHS and eventually after seeing Ferocious Beast enough times she actually incorporated "Great Googly Moogly" into her standard vocabulary (Similar thing hapoened with my Dad and "So help me" from Monsters Inc., though he doesn't really say it anymore)

22:40 Oh yeah, I remember watching that movie. I don't remember much FROM it though, but that scene stuck in my head and had me laughing for awhile. Just the simple thought of Dora pulling out a bowie knife had me rolling on the floor. So I guess the movie did SOMETHING right.

The reason you don't remember Bob the Builder being British is because it was dubbed over with American accents when it aired in the US

In case anyone is interested in the Spanish version of Dora the Explorer ,called here "Dora La Exploradora", the main goal wasn't trying to make kids learn Spanish but English if I remember correctly, and yes, all the songs are localized

Blues Clues was my favorite show as a kid. I absolutely loved it, and was legitimately obsessed with it for several years. I was less than a year old at the time, but i still have memories of when Steve first left and Joe joined. Even now, I'll occasionally go back and watch an episode or two. I even have really fond memories of watching Blue's Room (specifically the season when Joe was there), and I legitimately loved it.
