Nowadays teens as a group are being discarded completely. 13 and 14 are "just kids", 18 and 19 "basically adults", 15 to 17 are the respect of the former and the expectations of the latter. What's made for Actual Teens nowadays, not just either Real Youngs or Tax Payers? Seven year span, just straight up ignored...

This vid was very nostalgic. I grew up in the 2000s, and remember Teenick as a standalone channel. I did not know or remember watching the Teenick or Snick programming block. Out of all the shows mentioned, Drake & Josh and iCarly were staple shows growing up. Drake & Josh still holds up over two decades later. I will always love the Drake & Josh, and never really cared much about Drake Bell and Josh Peck as actors. Lastly, I watched Just Jordan. And one thing the show deserves credit for, is by having three unique leads. Lil JJ as the star and him having a latino and asian as his best buds. Which I think you did not see much of back then in Children's Television.

Amanda canceled her podcast after one episode because she couldn't get the people she wanted on. Other than that, I saw XJ9 from My Life as a Teenage Robot. Such an awesome show. It can come back and perhaps a reboot with a more serious take on the story.

I don’t mean to sound rude but have you ever heard of the term “mockumentary”? Because that’s what the Naked Brothers band is. It’s not a sitcom but a tv show set up as documentary with events that are still made up but it’s presented as real. That’s why the Naked Brother’s band comes across as more authentic and “real” because for mockumentaries there’s not a complete script. Some of the scenes are the boy’s real reaction to the situations Nickelodeon set up for them. That’s how mockumentaries are typically filmed, adding in real scenes to get a more raw outcome.

@@pleaseshutup7053 the difference was that the first season of H2O was aired on the regular Nickelodeon channel before being moved to the Teenick channel for the other two seasons, despite it not being a Nickelodeon original. Ayo The Secret World of Alex Mack was fire. She had to hide her powers from her parents and townsfolk. The only people who knew she had powers were her older sister Annie and best friend Ray. She could shoot electricity from her fingertips, telekinesis, and could turn into a puddle.
@colt456046 ай бұрын
If I'm not mistaken, I thought she had a couple of friends who knew, and her sister didn't find out until like the last season, then came the TV movie when they finally found out about her, the bad guys and her parents, and it was revealed her parents did have an antidote, and the last scene kept it vague on whether she took it or not, and as a side note, they parodied Alex Mack on All That, instead of powers, she finds a saxophone and decides to start playing it, really badly, they called it Alex Sax

What’s weird is that I remember a lot of shows starting with Drake and Josh in that wacky Dan sphere airing a lot more on Nick than Teen Nick, but shows like Ned’s Declassified, Naked Brothers Band, and True Jackson VP airing more on Teen Nick. Which is weird, cause at the time of ICarly, I couldn’t seen them being Nick originals instead of Teen Nick originals. However, at the same time that’s what gave Nick a bit of an edge over Disney Channel in terms of sitcoms and drama esc shows, even though Disney was way more popular.
