I can say the weirdest enemy from M&L Superstar Saga would be Spiky Snifits, because they are just cacti with Sniffit masks... very weird. Edit: Eekers could also be it for Superstar Saga, they're beakers with a Hawaiian skirt and with eyes.

@@mudkip4101 not really...it's not like Metroid & Zero Mission or Return of Samus & Samus Returns or the Switch version of Link's Awakening compared to the GB/GBC original, where there are drastic changes to gameplay & new areas/bosses/powers/etc. All-Stars & the GBA ports are still the same games as their original versions. At best they're enhanced ports & in the case of the 4 NES games in All-Stars remakes/remasters.

There's plenty weird ones in 64. Here's a bit more: Klepto has always been a staple since this game, but when 64 was released it was really different. Instead of just attacking Mario, klepto just steals Mario's hat. What an inconvenience. The haunted piano... Well... Oh man. Eyerok only made an appearance in this game but compared to all the just head and/or hand bosses out there, he's no different. Finally, the coinbags were very oddballish. In this game their design has it to where their eyes are in their zipper. And it's especially weird how they're invisible when you first encounter them. Despite that, super Mario 64 might as well be my most favorite video game to play. So many memories of mine are attached to it.

In my opinion, the fact that mario enemies are weird is what makes perhaps the entire franchise's charm. Nintendo designers aren't afraid to try out new things, and it's fascinating how most of them feel like they're part of the same world, despite each one being so different. It's also crazy how, for most of them, their design is really intuitive; if you see an enemy with spikes, you instinctively know you can't stomp on it. I don't know, the weirdness and unpredictability is what I love about Mario games.

Hey man, you have really great content but I agree with the other comments that I think you could really benefit from mixing up the way you script each “section” with different syntax and stuff. Almosg every single game here is a list of weird enemies and then some form of “but the weirdest enemt HAS to be X” and it comes off very unnatural. Really do love what you’re doing I just think you could hit another level if you work on the narration scripting.

It may not be the same bird, but in Super Mario Worldwhen you get through the special World all the Bullet Bills become Pidget bills and that's the same name as that Pidget on the flying carpet enemy in Super Mario Bros 2. I'm honestly not sure what is weird about the auto bomb in Super Mario Bros 2. It just looks like some vehicle that the shy guys ride and shoot fire out of. however when I do find strange's I recall on the Super Mario All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros 2 that on the end screen where it shows the enemies, they mentioned some kind of owl but I don't have any memory of ever seeing this out in Super Mario Bros 2 it all and I'm beating the game like nearly a hundred times. As a kid I used to think those winged jumping totem poles in Super Mario Land were actually jumping kranz. Especially when I play this game on super game boy and kept the default color palette making it look like a red crayon. I actually think it would be interesting if they brought back those bullet Bill cannons that come out of pipes. They should at least allow you to place a bullet Bill Cannon in a pipe in Super Mario Maker one and two just to have a Bullet Bill Cannon that comes out of a pipe. Great top three weirdest enemies on Super Mario World. I do have to say I also find it weird how on chocolate island there's those big dinosaurs when once you stomp them they become small dinosaurs that can breathe fire. How come they couldn't breathe fire when they were big? I love Super Mario Land 2 and I played the original game boy version on my super Gameboy many times, but I've never seen all the colors done like that or seen Luigi in the game. Was there like a Gameboy Color remake or something? I love that little mac joke about those punching enemies in New Super Mario Bros. the dragon eels in new Super Mario Bros U totally remind me of an enemy quite similar to it in Yoshi's story. That enemy only appears in one room in the first level of page 5. Honestly when Super Mario Odyssey first came out and I saw a like some screenshot of the T-Rex I didn't think this was Super Mario Odyssey. The T-Rex looks way as you said and it does look completely out of place. Although I imagine must be cool to control that T-Rex.
