I liked it when they asked the questions instead of the open discussion because I think it gives everyone at least a couple more minutes of screen time even the invisible players because I notice the invisible players now are still invisible in the final tribal council

@@TheAdamNW I'd disagree with it being an open discussion, because more often than not, it's the 2-3 loudest voices on the jury that dominate that final tribal, while the quieter people who also have something to say don't get to give their point of view, which is my main gripe with the current FTC format

the old jury system is probably worse for actually figuring out who the jurors want to vote for, but much better for entertainment, and much less likely to lead to all jurors basing their vote on the same criteria and having landslides.

I don't mind the new FTC format as much as most people here in the comments, but I do prefer the original format even if it was getting stale. We're just never gonna get those spine chilling moments like Trish grilling Tony in an open format, for example

I agree. I think the jury needs to be able to ask whatever they want. The new format allows the final 3 to just repeat, repeat, repeat the same gameplay, the same answers. All 3 tribe members mimic each other's answer. Let the jury have their moment. JMO. Still love Survivor.

@@funkycrawler619 Casting no, They casted based of society which has predominantly Caucasians and they filled in minorities to fit the ratio close to what you'd see in a USA society. Editing, I've never seen them edit someone based off race if you are major part of the story then you'll get confessionals and be a major character for the show.

It was reported in one of the recent seasons that there was some kind of a racism controversy/misunderstanding on one of the tribes. We know who the wronged person was, but everyone refuses to name the other party. The 'wronged' person basically said "he/she learned their lesson" when asked about it.

Probably because Brandon was a worse overall player...he had a chance to change the game up by going with Kelly and the rest of the former Samburu members to vote Lex out, but he couldn't get past his dislike of Frank long enough to suck it up and vote with Frank for just one tribal
