Whether it’s their in game settings, the way they hold their mouse, or even the way they sit, there are a lot of little things that players do to make themselves feel more comfortable.
But one person’s comfort is another person’s nightmare.
And over the years, we’ve seen some pretty weird stuff in esports.

There was a Swedish player in first CoD who played mostly sniper and with that in mind, he had walking forward/backward on his LMB/RMB, shoting on the keyboard and some other wierd stuff I can't remember rn

I use 3200 edpi because i dont like to move my mouse with more than my wrist. I know its unresonably high but with anything liver i have to constantly reposition my mouse.

I used to play at 2250 DPI - I was really good at AWPing but my normal rifle shots definitely needed work, I would overcompensate for the recoil on sprays or small adjustments at a distance all the time. Crazy to see how Woxic does it

I bought a deathadder essential quite some time ago. and it doesn't have a DPI control. And I didn't wanna use any software DPI controller so I stuck with it's 6400 DPI. Took a bit but now with 0.51 sens, I do pretty well with it.

When I switched to PC from console the keyboard gave me such bad cramps in my hand i couldn't even play for more than 10 minutes. My solution was to use a controller with my left hand and the mouse with my right. Most of my recorded runs are in that style. I can play m&k now but still rock the c&k for sometimes:)

@@cerjmedia I made a base for the controller to sit in and it helped stabilize it. Basically a piece of wood with some padding. Before that it was sliding around really bad. Works great now. Good luck.

Some games I played when I was younger had invested mouse as default (or maybe I selected it without me knowing as I spoke almost 0 english back then). For example I played GTA San Andreas like that. Yet in the same time I played other games without mouse being inverted. I did not noticed my hand moves in different direction when I want to do the same action (look up) after some time ... I just got used to it and could switch to different game without any issues :D Oh, and some games I have movement binded to IJKL instead of S - as at one point my keyboard broke and it was easier to rebind whole half of keyboard than buying new one :D

yep! I know 2 former SC2 players who plays CSGO on 4800DPI. Btw they're both GE. And They even mentioned one friend who plays CSGO on 12000DPI. Sadly he's DMG. And I say that is most *definitely* because of his DPI lol.

@@NyangisKhan Though you can play with absurd DPI. I think still their eDPI would've been lower than 120000 :D eDPI = Mouse DPI X in-game sense I play on 800 dpi with a in-game sense of 2.8 which makes my EDPI 2240 :D

i forgot the exact numbers but my edpi when i started playing csgo as my first pc fps in 2015 was over 10k, i gradually lowered it as i got better but i managed to hit nova 4/mg1 somehow, my current dpi is 1440 now so still on the higher side and i'm dmg

How do you find out that a hyper-claw grip is the most comfortable in the first place lol. I don't doubt it works for him, but I feel like if I didn't see this video, I would have never thought to try holding my mouse like that to even see if it works for me. edit: nvm I didn't watch long enough...but my point still stands. that's kind of a worse reason than just finding one's one true grip. what a legend.

its actually great for pure aim. if you have the hand to hand coordination down its far superior. as in if you click on the mouse to shoot your aim will move ever so slighty, which can make a difference in high level play. used to play with spacebar to shoot in CSGO back when i was in lower tier pro. jumping on the scrollwheel anyways cause i am a bunnyhop player

Can we talk about the absolute stance some quake players assume? Keyboard under the table arm straight down wrist in front of the chest and monitor on a 45 of the table edge. Also its not too weird but there is maru (of starcraft 2) who keeps a trusty towel between his palm and his mouse. And to bring up one more quake player, toxjq, his keys are almost demonic looking on first glance. For instance, the shoot button is the letter C ... yeeeaaaaah. Old ass games seam to attract these curseded config wielding warriors of woe.

higher dpi is more responsive generally with any mouse, people who play low dpi are basically sacrificing input latency for nothing when you can just do the math and scale back your sensitivity on low dpi to work with high dpi

You guys should cover mobile esports. CODM and Mobile Legends are huge games... NA won the CODM world championships a few months ago. Nobody covered it. I don't get why.
