I believe the key is that Shademan, as hits bats, gets a weird version of mercy invincibility where his hitbox teleports on hit (thus why you kept getting hurt on the back row by his phantom presence). However, attacks with large hitboxes can accidentally touch where he is and where he cheat-teleports to at the same time, causing him to hop back and forth several times racking up more hits. This is also why Duo just came out and did nothing after obliterating the back rows, because this also insta-deleted him either directly during his teleport-cheat, or rapidly knocked him back and forth between it and the intended attack area to obliterate him.

This has to be the most mind boggling thing in this game, which is saying a lot with how it often boggles said mind.

Yeah its pretty weird, though it does make deleting ShadeMan sorta easier now LOL

I think this might just be something to do with the Japanese version, because BN4 being the glitchy mess it was, probably had some bugs ironed out when it went international. (Not all of them of course, but still.)

Yeah, I saw his clips on Twitter! Wonder why people aren't talking much about this 🤔

So you hit him with the charged buster then I’d assume you hit the correct bat with wide shot as it’s leaving the screen but that’s still only 110 damage total. Idk it’s crazy

Yeah a reddit user pointed that out too. Some weird multi hit happened here and I'm not sure how or why 😅

Did this occur in the GBA original?

I've played BN4 many times so I'm 100% sure it didn't in the localized version. Not too sure about the japanese version since thats what MMBNLC is based on. Though I'm sure its a MMBNLC thing since there is not a single mention about this glitch over the past decade until it came out
