Now that is a brilliant idea! The 'flying' shot around the bench was especially impressive. Very, very clever. And a very enjoyable vid. As always Stephan thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas.

Simple, low tech, working alternative to the complex and expensive professional solutions! You seem to have read my mind - some three days ago, after watching a video that struggled to show reasonable viewing angles, I started thinking of ways to solve that problem, based on the same premise - camera supported on a rotating base on the ceiling, using two different approaches: - Articulated arm (like the ones on desk lamps) moved by hand as required (or motorized for complete rotations) - Spiral descent on parallel guides, with reduced speed, propelled by gravity only Both, much more complicated than your solution that achieved very good results with effective simplicity. And that smooth hovering around the bench was a killer :-) Well done!

I like your idea, but I think it's too delicate. I wouldn't trust it to hold my expensive cameras safely. Perhaps a metal version would do a better job and more safely hold a camera. Again, very good idea, just too delicate.
