This was filmed in 1986 at the Stardust Ballroom 5612 sunset Blvd. It was The Weirdos reunion. I was at this show. Nicky Beat was also playing drums at this time for L.A. Guns. Awesome time I had that night!. The Stardust Ballroom was torn down to built a public storage building. R.I.P. Dix Denny. This post was posted on May-5-2023 Thursday night.

Saw them with Circle Jerks on the east coast. They were all wearing no less than black lace dresses."Solitary Confinement" caused a bigger maelstrom in the mosh pit than any song in the Circle Jerk's set.

They were a great band, I remember seeing them at the Stardust Ballroom in Hollywood in the summer of 1979 in a lineup with X, the Alley Cats, and others, but the Weirdos clearly stole the show. At the time their lineup consisted of Denney-Roman-Denney, with Greg Williams on bass and Art Fox on drums. Good solid band. Cliff Roman on Vox guitar and Dix Denney on lead guitar. (I've always preferred punk bands with two guitars. Bad Religion, Face To Face, etc. It's what gives them their edge.) I then saw them headline at the Whisky in early 1980 (The Flyboys and the female Dinettes open for them. Great show! Weirdos opened with "Fallout" and killed it. I think they played their entire library that night, and encored with "A Life of Crime." Then "Willy" Williams left the band and Cliff moved over to bass guitar and they recorded the 12" EP for Rhino, which led to the "Helium Bar" video, although I thought "I Feel" was the best track, even though it's a shorter version than when they played it live. But as a quartet, they were never the same.

I didn’t know Flea had a stint in the Weirdos as well, but I knew about Fear. Also, Die For Me is my fav song on Dance With Me.

Amazing capture. Thanks so much for posting. I went to so many shows back then that I can't even remember if I was there. You'd think I'd remember. I know I WANTED to go lol.

I was at this show. They opened up for the band Youth Brigade. I think it should've been the other away around.

I agree and thought the very same thing. A lot of people left after the weirdos played.

Dix Denney does that Jon Lydon (slobbering belligerent punk bloke) sound better than Sex Pistols

It could have been,in my instance.I saw them together twice.I was young, and everything was a blur for some inexplicable, illicit reason(hah).

It was most definitely 86. If you need a cross reference; check Nickey Beat's hair and L.A. Guns kit.
