You get classified as a Bass I or Bass II based on your vocal range. A Bass II have a lower vocal range than a Bass I. Luke and Bobby are definetly singing the exact same thing and they have pretty similar vocal ranges because they're both Bass II.

I know a man who sings in a shanty choir in Husum, Germany. He was so sad because the choir mostly consists of elderly man and is almost literally dying out.
