This is really meaning. Africa isn’t under developed but it’s over exploited.

charlotte, I realized this in University; Africa cannot be allowed to develop because then, its resources would be demanded within the continent. Without these resources, the West could not function, so if a developed African state parted with its resources, it would be at a premium.

After Lenin came Stalin and 40 Million Russians were persecuted and killed. When Mao came 40-80 Million Chinese were persecuted and killed. Maybe take advice from people who did not kill that many people with their ideas and policies. Maybe find local African leaders who are actually worth wile looking up to. And with regards to partnerships with China... Free investment, yes, but who actually is paying the debt of the infrastructure works? And what happens to those assets, or other assets, if you cannot pay? Getting control over a foreign country by putting it into debt is the oldest game in the world. And those contracts are always signed with a smile. Pray that your leaders do not use too much of that supposed 'free money'. Your grandchildren will thank you for your wisdom.

@@Stillstanding24 Yes, indeed. You are correct in pointing out the obvious, partially. Our king did it in the past, he was finally stopped by my countrymen and international pressure from the West, long before I was ever born. Likewise the Chinese and Russians are doing it today with the sophistication of today. Do you see the similarity? Neither is good. The fact that I know Belgian history allows me to discern the pattern and allows me to warn about it, as a connoisseur. In fact, you will have noticed this pattern too, is it not? You will agree that history does not repeat, but it does rhyme. Thanks to the decolonization process and democracy Africa in principle does what it wants. I do note that there are risks to partnerships based on debt especially in countries with smallish, still fragile economies. The tone of the video is anti-western propaganda, while one would expect the neutral promotion of a pro-African agenda. So beware of strangers bearing gifts claiming they are better than the other strangers bearing gifts.

As always there's Wu Mao in the comments calling propaganda "immaculate" when it's propaganda... "Say it is good when it is bad - bad when it is good." What you try on others? CCP does to you. "Say you are a meritocracy when you are brutal, corrupt, and negligent. Say it is bad when it is good - good when it is bad." No mention by this lady or anyone else about Covid - killing 7 million around the world, including in Africa, and sickening 800 million. Yup, nothing. In fact, the numbers reported in Africa and China? False. They're estimating far more the the 250k in Africa and in China? Estimates are at 1-1.5 million. CCP didn't tell you that. Like you don't talk about Covid? They don't talk about the real numbers. The way you lie to others? And try to distract? They do that on YOU. Do it to them, they will do it to others for you. Another tactic.

Thank you for doing this interview. I am trying to teach my kids to be understanding and to realize that they should educate and think for themselves. That all people have the right to determine what the right way to live is, for themselves. The US democracy isnt what they tell other countries it is. Thats why the majority of US Citizens never see interviews like this. Every media outlet is owned by the same Capitalists who paid for laws to be passed so they could "legally buy Government support" (they call it "lobbying" but its just another word for bribery) so they can continue dividing and exploiting these countries. They use fear as a weapon against there own citizens from the time they are young. The US Government doesnt like any government (regardless of name) style where they can not manipulate who is in power. What the US Government calls Democracy is just a system that can be purchased by the highest bidders. They divide and conquer by using terms like democrat, republican, left and right. When those dont work They use other emotional trigger points like race and gender as distractions like a red flag with a bull. Because when people get emotional about something like racism they forget that the US governments only priority and only care is money and power. In the end it is all about capitalism but people forget about money when they are emotionally truggered by terms involving things they cannot change like their race. There are many wealthy people in the US of all nationalities, one of the most corrupt US Officials is African American and sits on our Supreme Court with the other men and women who are just as corrupt. They all have 2 things in common wealth and the willingness to do whatever it takes to maintain wealth and power. They teach people from when they're very young that if they question the US Government it is disrespectful to Veterans, friends and family who were lost and sacrificed their lives during wars, but never tell them or take responsibility for the wars that they started in the 1st place. Most Americans still believe the Iraq war was fighting the terrorists from 9/11. Most americans still believe that their vote counts. Most Americans right now seem to think China and Russia are going to try to invade our country and take over at any moment. The manipulation, fear and warmongering is out of control here in the US. 😢

N.S.D... Your chagrin is understandable but I think you are wrong. China spent a lot of time on the bottom and does not have the history of racist superiority that ameriKKKa does. China sees the future and does not want the hidden chagrin that most of the world holds ameriKKKa in. I believe that China knows and holds dear that respect is not a oneway street. China is not a little less bad... it is a lot better...

China's approach to Africa is far more humane not to say its all roses in the end China is looking out for itself. The question should be why dont african leaders have the competence or morality to negotiate better deals for themselves and citizens wether dealing with the East or West.
@obeahman6286 Жыл бұрын
Relevant question indeed. China will not be able to stop itself from becoming disproportionately rich when dealing with shady leaders trained in graft.
@blcheah2672 Жыл бұрын
@@obeahman6286 actually, Africa already has the tools (such as democracy and free media) to put leaders in check. Just that these are badly used. China doesn't want to export its political model because it presupposes that you have a lot of people in the Confucian tradition who want to be government officials to serve the people. Africans must find their own way to keep their officials in check.
@obeahman6286 Жыл бұрын
@@blcheah2672 Africa finding its own way is not synonymous to democratic structure and free press. Those practitioners of democracy in this world we live in hardly have free press and cyclical elections mostly serve to install a figurehead. We do not necessarily have to latch on to western model, their societies are way more homogenous. The ethnically diverse nature of African societies should encourage robust debates about a model more suited to itself.

I enjoyed his speech, he is very eloquent and truthful, but whenever I hear speeches like this and no mention is made of the millions of people of African descent being at the bottom of every country around the world, then I realize that the continental Aftician scholars are still not fully awake

Africans are very much aware of plight of the African diaspora and many of our leaders have opened up their countries for diaspora communities and there are organizations like the ADDI that is set up by the ex-African Union ambassador to America that’s working to make that connection. Africa needs to unite to make the realization complete. Most of us are educated in the west like the US and have the experience of what life is like for black people in the United States. Africa needs its diaspora community to realize its potential.
