Since no western media or youtuber will tell you the full story of what happened in 2021 which lead to all this fury, here it goes. In 2021 China swimming association held a national gathering, meet of all swimmers in competitive level in a single city. While the swimmers were there, the Chinese Anti Doping Agency (CHINADA) tested all the swimmers 3 times during the duration of the event. They found 23 swimmers with trace amounts of TMZ in 1 of their 3 tests. They promptly started an investigation which determined that the reason only 1 of their 3 tests were positive was because all 23 of these swimmers were staying at the same hotel. Then they checked the kitchen and found trace amounts of TMZ in the meat, in the kitchen counter top and vent hood. All this were reported to WADA. Then WADA did 2 separate investigations of their own which confirmed what was found by CHINADA. So to recap, 1) it was not WADA that did the test but CHINADA, if China wanted to cover it up, they simply could have not reported it at all. No one would be the wiser. 2) The TMZ found was trace amounts and only in their blood test after that meal, their initial blood tests were also completely clear. 3) Pan Zanle was not amongst those 23 swimmers. This whole thing was not an issue until the NY times digged it up and made a stink, then USADA got US congress involved (not sure why since they don't have jurisdiction). Just so everyone will be clear who WADA favors. US pays 10% of WADA budget annually. WADA is based in Canada, has not a single member from China. And, WADA has given last few years, 66% of all Therapeutic Use Exemptions to just 3 countries, USA, France and Australia. Just happens these 3 countries have the most swimming medals. And, all the top US and French swimmer including Leon had severe facial flushing at the end of their race that is a clear side effect of bronchodilators.

Even if we accept the premise that the Chinese team is suspicious, the result is to test to such an extent that we can be reasonably assured that they are not doping. This is exactly what happened. The Chinese team got tested over 19,200 times, and during the Olympics multiple times every day. By comparison, the US team only got tested 6,700 times. If you still can't accept the Chinese team's legitimacy after all of that, then it says something about you, not the Chinese athletes.

A lot of young kids who have Asthma are suggesting to take up swimming to help their lungs and breathing, so it actually makes sense that a lot of those who progress to competition in swimming would have Asthma, I know that it sounds and seems counter intuitive, but I can totally see there would be a direct connection, because young kids are unlikely to persist with the training unless they are getting some other benefits from it.

We’re forgetting that in the hack of WADA’s database a few years ago, it revealed that multiple Olympic stars like Simone Biles, the Williams sisters, etc. were found positive with prohibited substances but were allowed to participate in the Olympics. For example, Simone was found to have methylphenidate in her system during the Rio Olympics but she was allowed to participate (since she claims it was for her ADHD, but we know it’s a super stimulant which is very advantageous for athletes), and the information was never released, until it was hacked. A lot of other US swimmers were also allowed if they said they need it for their illness like asthma, etc. However, no other countries were shown such grace by WADA. I wonder if the annual investment that US gave to WADA (more than twice as much as any other country) has anything to do with it. Also, remember the doping scandals of Marion Jones and Lance Armstrong. It went on for years because they used sophisticated doping methods invented in the US, and the organization was complicit in the cover-up. There were a lot more offenses like this throughout the Olympics history that should just remain in the statistics.

Haha it’s not that bad. That’s not where the real secret lies. All those facilities and equipments are nothing new. Those are just tools. The point is how you use those tools to achieve your goals. Given the same set of kitchen ware, some can make a feast while I’m likely to burn down the kitchen. Plus, at this top level of competitive sports, an athlete’s technics are highly personalized, based on that specific athlete’s strength and weak points; and the training program/routine is tailored accordingly. So simple copy+paste doesn’t work. We all know Leon merchand trains with Michael Phelps’s coach. But it’s not like that coach has had no other trainee since Phelps except merchand. So why hasn’t more super swimmers turned up from under the same coach? Technically he knows all the secrets of how to make a Michael Phelps?

You didn’t dig into the sus story though! The burger case was not two of the guys on the swimming team but half of the swimming team. They all tested trace of recovery drugs and that made the Chinese Olympic committee suspicious so they themselves reported this incident to the international Olympic committee. And investigation was conducted and they found trace of that said drug in the kitchen of where those burgers were made, on the kitchen counters and also in the meat. They concluded that it was indeed food contamination! Meanwhile the US team has a bunch of asthmatic swimmers that are legal to dope 😅

If these anti Chinese biased idiots insists on the accusation then, they should asked, are the Olympic and the French testing officials corrupted or just loving the team China. The Australian coach is one good example of someone who claimed to be an expert even on matters outside the swimming perimeters, to make irresponsible statements and he should banned from the swimming organisations. His comments was deliberately timed to stirring up disunity among nations just because his protégés failed the top podium. All the unsportsmanlike behaviours athletes should be given a warning or be banned from the games too. Everything has rules just like the rules based order and the Olympic should have one rule too. If they already have then it is the participants to follow the rules or be kicked out.

I'm glad Asia is rising. Even us South Asians (Both India and Pakistan) did well in Javelin and we brought a couple of Bronzes home. Our India wrestler Vineesh Phoghat was DQ's for 100 grams over weight before facing the American, who's butt she would have kicked. The least our Vineesh deserves is the Silver which we she won fair and square. But it won't happen here is why: Racists not only want to destroy the immediate victory but try to inflict a permanent scar on the spirit of the champion. That to them is the end goal cause long term destruction of the spirit takes out the fight from our champion. Looks like they succeeded, our Vineesh retired from wrestling. I am romanian and watched the race because we have one swimmer too. I know Pan was tested several times. Negative results always so he is a great talent and hard working talented swimmer. Pan did an amazing race. Looking forward to LA 2028 ...will be intresting😂😂.. In my opinion race should matter in sport and not only.
