Once again people in these comment sections making assumptions like they are actually on the OKC team. If any of you actually knew basketball, you would realize that this is on Billy Donovan. He FAILED to create an offensive system that benefited the entire big 3 and was rather content with the constant isolation. And when Westbrook realized the offense wasn't working he took it upon himself to do what he thought was right, basketball 101: if no1 else is shooting well, take over... and this is why they all shot 30% or lower in the playoffs. Watch the games, not just the highlights, and stop hating the players, they don't create the plays, they just run them
@silenthero2795

Dude, it's not like Billy Donovan is playing 2k18 using this OKC team. A coach can only do so much. They're there to give potential plays. The players themselves has the choice which play can be used depending on the situation. If anything else, the Big 3 has always played Iso ball so if the coach would change it, there would be egos flying around.

Bro for this to work he needs a point guard which everybody knows Westbrook is not ... He's a great player but a bad point guard. Rubio is a good player but an amazing point guard, and he crushed Russ in this point guard match up. You're saying if no1 else shoots well... Well it's westbrook's job as a point to help them shoot well and we all know that he passes the ball when he needs too not how and when the player receiving needs to. Westbrook needs to come back to being a 2 guard with a real playmaker. And Billy Donovan can do so much. Forcing a system to Westbrook is purely suicidal cuz if the OKC front office have to choose between a coach and Russ they'd choose Russ.

Exactly everyone else says that's a excuse when its not. They just don't understand the logic of basketball so they blame everything on the players. Yes the players are on the court but it's the coaches job to come up with a gameplan for those guys and he couldn't do his job. SIMPLE

How is Adams good? I was disappointed watching him at the playoffs. He couldn't get a shot inside even if theirs one defender. I thought he was "strong" lol. As a fan of the NBA, I was pissed off for a long time at Kevin Durant leaving the Thunder to go the Warriors. But after watching this last Thunder season, I actually really understand his reasoning a lot better. I still think it was a weak move to go to Golden State after they beat him, but I fully support his decision to leave OKC now. Westbrook is just that awful as a teammate.

Actually I think it is a "success" experiment, well not from OKC's standpoint that's for sure, but we got to see how stupid this pickup style basketball is, and any sane person would realize we should never reward brainless Rus anything from now on, NBA owes Harden last year's MVP. A team with Rus in it could still win, but a team build around Rus is pure trash and will never win.

Dipo can't beat a one man team and clearly they should win the series. Hell he's not defending LBJ in that series. He has all the stamina and help to defeat my cavs yet he can't. PG only have 1 bad game in that series. Also he's playing with westbrook while averaging 25ppg is amazing for me. PG playoff stat 2016 (Force game 7 vs the raptors with no help) 27 ppg 7 rebounds 5 assists PG playoff stat 2017 ( is the most thrilling series before the finals he has no help to defeat LBJ+irving) 28 ppg 8 rebounds 7 assist PG playoff stat 2018 (Playing along side with westbrook with bad coaching) 25ppg 6 rebounds 2 assist As lebron fan dipo still not earned my respect. 1 bad game won't change PG's value.

Everyone is criticizing Westbrook for being a ballhog and stat padder but when the season started, he was distributing the ball evenly between the three of them. When the team wasn't headway in the conference, it was Carmelo and PG who told Westbrook that he had to take the reins and be more aggressive. Now, here we go again with everybody blaming Westbrook for being selfish as if that's an excuse for PG and Melo playing subpar basketball. It was Westbrook who lead the charge in Game 5, third quarter to erase the 25 point deficit and only then did PG follow suit. It was not too often that pG or Melo have the initiative to go out and be the main scorer. Stop the bullshyt.

Man this season seems like a huge missed opportunity. we have to run it back with PG and Dre back, stretch Melo to ease tax hit and retain and start Jerami Grant. Russ, Dre, PG, JG, Adams starting lineup would lock any team down - i hope i get to see it happen. Hopefully we retain Felton/Brewer as backups and get a big to cover Steven 10 mins per game.

Didn't take their time together seriously. Carmelo was less of a leader this season who has too much of an ego to help the team off the bench. I saw little fight from PG as he let Westbrook run around

Sadly, this is an example of a team that was only built to attack and challenge the biggest threat in the conference (The Golden State Warriors), but ill prepared for the rest of the league. Many teams are pulled together like this. The sad thing is that a team that most of the Western Conference would bypass on paper, came together and passed them.

Believe it or not but OKC are probably still the best chance to beat to warriors or rockets given the matchup. Throughout the whole regular season the thunder struggled against lesser teams but played very well against the good teams.

I think they just need more time figuring out their scheme and they need a much better bench. Coach has to bring out the best in those players. Russell is a force but his teammates can do more. PG is good. Add-on 2-3 more key players in and they'll be dominant. Melo has to play better he's getting old real quick.

The media owes the entire city of Houston an apology.. even going into the playoffs the media believed in OKC because they were “built for the playoffs” it’s so simple they thought throwing an all star and a washed superstar together with Westbrook would work?? Where’s the depth.. where’s the shooters.. I see 3 ball stoppers playing hot potato but I coulda swore y’all said it’s only one ball and Harden/CP3 wouldn’t work.. now look.. and the media doesn’t even want to address how dominant the Rockets have been..

Literally when they got paul george I thought with westbrook and PG they have about the same as KD and westbrook but KD is more efficient shooter. But once they added melo its just too much ball hogging and inefficiency, iso plays is the only play they know. I never thought they would go anywhere, just look at their shooting nights. They had no chance and if they bring them back next year they wont be much better, its not gonna win any championship.
