I liked you giving the party the wins with the rope system, sword and monster at the end! I think being an impartial Referee is a lot more fun for everyone than a punitive one.

Impartial always, at the end of the day this is a game we WANT to play I see no need to ever treat it like an asymmetric combat simulation.
