Correction on the wristbands. At checkout there was a whole pile of them in a box behind the front desk. I asked them and they said they just got them put out today. So wristbands are again available for purchase. One for $10 and additional are $5 each.

One of my favorite resorts! When you get some insder information about timeshares in Maui, that will be a helpful video. We were just at the Westin Kaanapali in May. Horrible stuff happened in Maui with the fires. I am wondering if even 2024 will be viable.

I am also here in Phoenix right now, staying at Marriott's Canyon Villas. Definitely quieter here too than it was the past two summers. Even some weekend nights have not been completely sold out. So much more enjoyable this way!

What do we need wristbands for? I have been an owner for 20 years and have never seen them.

You don't need them. The ones I showed in the video are just a replacement for your room key. Gets you into your room and pool areas. We find them handy to use vs digging for a room key. Thanks for watching!

It's probably not that busy because it's been so hot there! We've been there a couple of times and really enjoyed it.

Yeah, summer is low season and HOT. Though we were there the same time in 2022 and the place was very busy. Travel seems to be somewhat back to the normal patterns. Thanks for watching!

Jeremy, does the property use the app as an alternative to room keys as well as wristbands?

I am not sure. I have never tried using the app. We have only ever used the provided room keys or wristbands. I don't think we have ever got an email for online checkin for our stays at Vacation Club properties.

hi! thanks for sharing. I just wanted to ask you how many restaurants in this property. and how far is this property to downtown night life or shopping areas if any? You see, Im trying to decide if this is the place my husband wants to go too or the other option, which is the Sheraton Desert Oasis. Let me know what you think?

This resort only has a small restaurant/bar and a marketplace. Though it is located close to and they have a shuttle to the Westin Hotel where there are plenty of other resorts. There is also a shuttle, or a short drive, to Kierland Commons which is also next to Scottsdale Quarter. Not sure what kind of nightlife you are looking for, but these two shopping districts have lots of restaurants and shopping. You can research them to see if they have what you need. As for comparing to Sheraton Desert Oasis. I would 100% say to go with Westin Kierland Villas. So much nicer, more luxurious and a beautiful resort overall. Sheraton Desert Oasis doesn't even come close.

Have they fix the humming sound from their A/C?

We haven't noticed this as an issue in our unit this year or any of the past two years. Perhaps it was just an issue with the individual AC unit that was in the villa you were staying in?

Need your advice. My Vistana vacation to Maui has been cancelled due to effects of the wildfire. I called Visatana to rollover my Star options ro 2024 and they refused. Told me my only option is Interval International. Your thoughts?

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of advice. Vistana has been rather inconsistent with this policy. I suggest checking out the Visana forum on TUG. A number of people are discussing the issues there.
